Well not that much really, but I think banking on Herro being better than whatever assets you can get for Simmons is a worse bet imo.
honestly, u can’t be this dense with that many posts and that many likes. I’m saying Idgaf about a gm’s opinion on any other matter other than the one we r dealing and talking about with herro v Simmons.
What inspires people to believe Ben Simmons will be an all world player? Maybe ummmm because he just made all nba, literally last season idk just that?!?
@malakas Easy......this is all the argument that needs to be made. Herro being some stud is way less of a guarantee.
But he hasn't won one yet. Because of his shot limitation. And compared with Simmons shooting abillity, Giannis is Stephen Curry and Ray Allen combined.
considering a top 5 talent pick just drafted at 19 and youll be getting a super max off your books plus other young players + picks, I really don't see how a simmons package is going to be better for a team in rebuild. There's certain things that are true about simmons but most of those are much shorter term
Shaq's post game with Magic's handles/passing would be an interesting player. Then add ability to provide elite defense 1-5. Intriguing no?
nah it's the matter of posters that can't keep their consistency and only apply their logic when it's convenient that's the problem
A rookie who is a shooter has a worse TS% than a Center like shooting player? What a shocker! Of course someone with a Center's shot distribution would be higher than a shooter. Unless said shooter was the likes of Curry and Durant.
You didn't say compare. You said name 1. I named one. Be more concise! Ben Simmons is a consensus top 30 player. Maybe he's not a franchise guy. I don't know. Harden wants out because of Tilman. There isn't going to be a better package than Simmons, Thybulle, (and maybe Maxey or Milton) and Picks for PJ and Harden. It 1) gives the team a young star 2) gives the team a young elite role player 3) gives the team future picks 4) it gives the team the ability to get under the tax. There isn't another deal even close to as perfect as that for Tilman because of the assets Morey has with the young star and a TPE that fits PJ perfectly.
Lebron had a worse TS than Simmons too last season. How are you going to spin this one, color me curious.
Yes, none of this is necessary. Both will be good returns IMO assuming we can get extra assets attached to each of them. Don't think we have to knock down the other one to prop up the one we prefer. I truly think Rockets fans will learn to be happy with either of them no matter who we get assuming the sad day comes that we trade Harden.
Shaq's post game? You have got to be freakin kidding? If all of this was close to true he would be consensus top 5 MVP and not even on the trade market. Magic's handles? The **** are you smoking?
yeah, it matters, but not all TS percentages are the same Simmons only takes 11-12 shots a game, and they’re all at the rim where he’s a good finisher...his TS% will be high, but his high TS% is nowhere near as impressive as a high volume scorer who does more than just take shots right at the rim who happens to have the same TS% for example people are trying to paint 55% TS for a rookie Herro as some sort of knock, it’s not Herro 0-3 ft: 58% 3-10 ft: 43% 10-16 ft: 43% 16 ft-3 point line: 42% 3 pointers: 38% 2 obvious areas that will make Herro’s TS% climb...increasing that percentage from 0-3 feet to above 60%, and getting to the line more where he shoots 87% both are skills I see no reason why he won’t be able to develop
Lebron shot more 3s and midranges. Why do I need to spin anything? Is Lebron incapable of shooting outside of the paint?
Then why not go with the better bet? Tyler Herro could have a shot but he will not be a defensive stud, nor a playmaker on our team. So I think Simmons here give us the best odds, no?
YOU are the one who agreed that his inside game resembled Shaq's not me. And I did not say that the hybrid player I described was Simmons. I was posing a hypothetical. Jump to conclusions much?
