seriously though you are postulating Simmons as a chucker and some sort of liability, when he doesnt look for that shot. He plays within himself. Is shooting the only thing that is important to you on the court?
DeAndre Jordan has the highest career TS in HISTORY of the NBA. His career TS is 64%. https://www.basketball-reference.com/leaders/ts_pct_career.html EDIT: Artis Gilmore also had a career TS of 64% just tenths higher than DJ.
hungry? I mean your fat mom doesn't exactly inspire an appetite. Unless that's your kind of thing it seems.
But when did I say he was a chucker? A chucker? He? He is the opposite of a chucker. He is definitely a liability because he is mentally incapable of throwing the ball at the basket from outside of the paint. His FTs are also horrible at 60%. And it will show even more in the playoffs. I never said that Simmons sucks. I said he has an elephant size hole in his game that in my opinion is incapable of ever filling. He needs a team to be built around him which creates huge constraints when it comes to rosters. I also said that I prefer Herro because he has shown remarkable development and I believe he will become a better player than Simmons. On top of that I have said that in my opinion Simmons will be a flight risk to ask for a trade to the Lakers. That's my opinion and everything I have seen from Klutch hasn't convinced me otherwise. I prefer Herro to Simmons. I think neither of them are or will ever be as a good a bball player as James Harden.
I don’t see MPJ being possible, but yeah, Herro’s upside and the flexibility is what intrigues me most about a Miami offer Herro can ball
exactly! You want Simmons to shoot more to validate your take on his bad shooting! Simmons already knows he's a bad shooter and has done a good job of being ELITE at every other function on the court. It would be a problem if Simmons was chucking like Westbrick .. he doesnt do that, but still its a problem? edit: I prefer Simmons to Herro (and I didnt have to call you names!) thanks for the spirited and respectful debate.
There are zero players with career TS higher than DJ and Gilmore. All other players in top 10 of TS are 62% and lower. 60% TS is near elite regardless of position. Steph and Tyson Chandler are 62% TS. Magic, Barkley, Harden and Durant are 61% TS. McHale has a 60% career TS.
No. I want Simmons to shoot. Not more. To SHOOT. Let me repeat it. He does not shoot. At all. From anywhere. He is left wide open he doesn't. His defender backs down 2 meters he doesn't. He does not take a shot for months and months. That's just not "You want him to shoot more" That's "You want him to shoot- period". He doesn't have bad shooting. He has NO shooting. He doesn't chuck. He doesn't even take the minimum of shots.. He's at the other extreme of the spectrum which is EQUALLY disastrous.
