Harden signed the same extension without fanfare. He just decided he didn’t like it here anymore. Let’s see how Giannis feels in three years if they fail to win.

Harden is under contract with the Rockets for 2 more years so ..he actually gave the Rockets a chance. Also a chance to get a good package for him. He's not like KD who left OKC with nothing. On the other hand he acted like a little b**** but if he was professional about it I would have nothing much to complain at this point.
Miami just made it to the NBA Finals. I simply can't see Pat Riley blowing up that team for a 30-something guy who would require them to completely alter the way the team plays with no guarantee that it makes them better than the Nets, Philly, Bucks or Lakers.
I basically came in here to say this. The initial reaction is to think that Miami will panic and move Heaven and Earth for Harden, but I kinda don't think they will. They're talented, young and have arguably their three best players (Bam, Butler and Herro) locked in for years in a marquee market with a great coach and GM. Plus, they have a ton of cap flexibility next summer. If I'm Riley, I don't overreact here to get Harden. But I also wouldn't be shocked for them to make a move if they think it's their best chance to contend for the foreseeable future.
I give him a pass on that because he started playing bball late and he was pretty poor in Greece, just getting his belly full.
The number of players that are Rockets in 2020, that were Rockets in 2018? 3, not counting Harden. Harden has given the Rockets plenty of chances.
Loyalty? LOL What do you think is going to happen in in a couple years the Bucks are not competing for titles? Giannis will demand a trade, will make it nasty and will end up being traded. There is no actual downside to Giannis taking the money.
Did everyone conveniently forget that there are other star players that signed an extension then decided to nope the **** out? PG13, AD, and probably Harden. Signing a contract don't mean **** these days
Louder for the people in the back. An extension looks good for literally every party involved. Good for Giannis because it shows that he's loyal thus maintaining his squeaky clean image. Good for the Bucks because it shows the basketball world that they're able to keep one of the best players in the entire world, on a small-market team. Good for the NBA because it maintains the current level of parity. It's even good for the Rockets, because it makes James Harden that much more valuable to the other teams in the league. A major would-be FA is now off the market for the foreseeable future.
Harden gave 8 years to the rockets. That's rare already. I don't mind him ring chasing as long as we get a great trade package in return. Loyalty means Jack sht. Harden wants a ring, and the owner is garbage .
