How is showing highlights from his rookie year the last word?

You want me to rack up those less than double digit scoring highlights from the last time he was in the playoffs?

What I don’t get is if Harden wants to go to a contender why is Philadelphia even on the list? If they trade Ben Simmons for Harden how is their roster better than what we have now? A Harden, Embiid, and Harris core isn’t beating the Nets or Milwaukee and probably not Toronto or Miami

Just a horrible metric to use if you’re trying to make a case for Simmons. That was indeed strange

It definitely appears this is more that he wants away from Tilman over anything. This started as a move to get to Brooklyn and when the team leaked it, Harden said **** off and decided he couldn't trust the organization to keep talks internal from that point on.

Wow Giannis just signed a 5 year $228 million dollar extension with the Bucks. That's great news for Houston! That means everybody is out of the Giannis sweepstakes now. Could push a Harden trade even faster now.

    Writers? What writers?

I thought SI literally fired every single NBA writer. This was probably written by some NFL or intern.

EDIT: oH I see they kept one Jeremy Woo. Congrats. One writer.

Do you ever get tired of being on the wrong side of our discussions?

Panel of SI writers have discussed trading both Embiid and/or Simmons.

    https://www.si.com/nba/2020/08/24/philadelphia-76ers-joel-embiid-ben-simmons-future

And trading Embiid has been discussed locally OFTEN.

    https://thesixersense.com/2020/09/21/philadelphia-76ers-why-trade-joel-embiid/

Trading Embiid has been brought up NATIONALLY as well.

I mean we could do this ALL DAY.

Either do your due diligence, speak generally about your own opinions or stop speaking to me in absolutes.

Considering harden thinks so and why he has them at the top of the list, that sounds like something you should ask him. Even though it’s probably true

With such horrible FT% of course his TS% is bad. And the shot distribution of a center.

Ben Simmons is better than Tyler Herro in every single basketball metric except outside shooting. You must have loved 90s bball when nobody really shot 3's then. If we were discussing points per possession then the 3 point theory comes into play, but nobody is doing that. Even Simmons eFG is higher than Herro.

Seems to me that Simmons knows his limitations and plays to his strengths - how is that bad?

Woj today basically said it's Philadelphia and no longer said Simmons is untouchable.

Simmons + Thybulle + Milton + 2 FRP for PJ and James. I've been saying it for about a month. It's always been the clear move if the team ultimately decides to trade Harden. The team is a 7/8 seed now with the ability to be fighting for home court by the time Wall's contract is up.

    Wall/Milton
    Eric/ Ben McLemore
    Thybulle/ Nwaba
    Simmons/House
    Wood/Cousins

That's 10 very playable guys with Tate, Bruno, Brown all fighting for spots in the rotation.

2 extra draft picks. Making it 5 total added this offseason.

1 young star. 1 young elite role player. 1 young offensive guy who fits a position of need. Gets the team below the tax threshold.

You could see Eric + a few first rounders moved for Buddy Hield at some point this year if that deal is made too.

And the handles and playmaking of an elite guard with the defensive ability of an elite oversized wing.....

    Are you Trump?

Why do you keep repeating the lie that Simmons TS is bad.

A 60% TS is near elite.

    Again who are these people?
    Bechtel? Robin Lundberg? Swinton?
First time I hear any of them except for Woo.

Why are they some kind of experts?
Because they are SI interns being paid peanuts after they fired everyone worth their salt on their staff?

This. Simmons does all these thing at an elite level right now and every season he has played......

Herro was just a rookie.... He is more theoretical than reality right now.

Simmons was the number one player in the nation and had another top 5 guy with him.

When was the last time Arizona State made the tournament before him?

Yes I will use Simmons college team success because its a good barometer (not the only one) if he can lead a team to success and be that lead dog.

No for a Center it is bad. And he has the shot distribution of a Center and worse FT% than almost every Center.
