    it’s a problem

next someone on here will call Herro the next JJ Reddick

I could easily sit here and say Herro looked the part of a rookie Devin Booker with the shooting ability and some of the moves he does off the dribble...not saying he’ll be that level of scorer, but some of the scoop layups and the way he gets off his threes reminds me a little bit of Booker...but nah, since he’s white and is a good shooter, lemme force feed Kyle Korver comparisons

Not really.... I was just comparing their measurements. I used Korver as a worst case scenario if you would go back..... Then you got all emotional.

Get back to me when Herro even sniffs a couple of these accomplishments.

You don't build a team based on personal and past accomplishments. If you did we'd have won a championship with Harden already.

Well what do you build it around? An exciting rookie 2019 playoff run?

You can say the same about Philly who are not willing to build their team around Simmons.

    Funny how that works.

When Butler was with Philly, Simmons was 3rd best.

While I am more aboard the Simmons train I am also warming up to the Herro side of things due to his potential upside. The way he progressed so quickly in his rookie year (20 years old) playing with a legit playoff team was very impressive. Add his clutch play in the playoffs at such a young age and this dude may develop into a Devin Booker/Jamal Murray type of player given he is so young. See this article below comparing Herro to Booker before the 2019 NBA Draft. Nobody was mentioning Herro with that kind of upside but the fact that that kind of upside was even mentioned before the draft has me very intrigued. As the article mentions, Herro and Booker had eerily similar strengths and weaknesses entering the NBA. Both have already progressed better than expected so you can't really limit a player's potential especially one that has already "proven" themselves at the highest level of competition. I really don't think the playoffs were a fluke and think we will easily be talking about Herro in 2-3 years being similar to where Booker and Jamal Murray are currently at in their career which is All-Stars for the foreseeable future. Probably closer to Murray than Booker but who knows considering Herro's improvement during the shutdown of the NBA from March till August the sky is the limit for this guy. He has already shown signs of improving has a playmaker and definitely has the ability to be a 5+ assist guy per game eventually similar to Booker. Will obviously need to improve his strength, ball handling, defense and playmaking but I have no doubts he will get there in the right situation based on his work ethic and quick meteoric rise in the bubble. It is almost like something clicked for him.

“Works hard and models his game after Devin Booker, who had eerily similar strengths and weaknesses entering the NBA,” the site’s writers — the article was a group effort — pointed out.

In a draft that seemingly lacks star talent, particularly after the top two or three picks, the ability to land a player of Booker’s caliber outside of the lottery is tantalizing.

The Heat got to the finals. Simmons hasn't even lead a team to one with all those accomplishments.

Right, the HEAT did. Did Herro lead them to the Finals. Nope, he was a rookie playing within the system.

It's weird you can't understand the difference.

That was also his 2nd season as NBA player.

And truly it was his 1st season since he was injured his rookie season.

And even 3rd best on ENTIRE team is a whole lot better than playing in 2nd unit wouldn't you agree?

And putting shooters all around Simmons seems like they are building around him now don't you agree?

Did Hero have 2 other mvp players he was deferring to?

The comparisons some of ya'll make is ridiculous.

Toss Bam into the Miami package and then it becomes a serious package. Spoelstra lumped Herro with the rest of the young guys.

The same people telling others and assuming Simmons 3 years in is going to drastically improve his shooting when he’s literally showed 0 signs of that are the same ones telling folks a 19-20 year old kid is capped and not going to be good. The classic cf’s takes where consistency and logic dont apply

Also trying to pair another superstar with Simmons and Embiid when he's still on his rookie contract.....

I’ve been all for Simmons but if herro is the move then we need to pair him with another automatic sniper and create a poor mans version of the splash bros.

    And not Duncan Robinson.

    Herro/wood/??

    Are you for real?

Do you actually think the shooting is for Simmons?

Why has Embid not been in trade discussions?

Why is nobody and I mean nobody talking about building a team around Simmons and trading Embid?

You don't even actually think they are really building around Simmons, you are just being obtuse.

Booker and Jamal Murray is who I just compared him to as well. I can see a path where he could develop similar to these guys. Already a pretty potent offensive force as a 20 year old. Whose to say that he can't develop similar to Murray or Booker who had similar draft profiles (with higher upside of course) when heading into the league. If Herro is expected to at least be an average defender I can easily get beside this move if we also get at least 2 of Robinson, Nunn and Precious as well as 1st round picks (2025, 2027) + swaps? You could potentially bring a 3rd team in and trade Robinson and/or Nunn for a pick as well? Not to mention you would get Igoudala and Olynyk in the deal who provide veteran depth and expiring contracts to try and move at the deadline for a disgruntled star? If nothing opens up then we have some wiggle room to be a player in the Free Agent market in 2021 due to the small contracts of Herro, Robinson, Precious.

I have mentioned before but I wonder if there is a way for us to get Herro + Michael Porter JR from Denver?

    Harden to Miami
    Herro + MPJ + Precious + pick(s) + expiring's (Iggy + Olynyk) to Houston
Tucker + Robinson/Nunn (or a 1st round pick) to Denver
