Oladipo isn't looking great after coming back from that knee injury fwiw, and there were rumors about Indiana getting weak offers for him lately, unless he comes back at the level he played two years ago, i don't even know how many teams will have interest in him at this point, maybe teams like Knicks, Hornets, but those teams are probably not in the race to get James.
Yeah but is Oladipo on that level? That's a rhetorical question of course lol. I think this raises James' value if only a little bit. The next elite player to be available is years away now. AD locked into LA, Giannis locked into MIL...the next set of guys are on rookie deals, Zion, Ja Morant, Doncic etc etc or might be damaged goods like Klay.
I hope it raises James's value for sure. I want every freaking pick coming our way if we are going to trade away Harden. Ridiculous that anyone thinks otherwise.
kawhi but only because hes in that tier and has that option. But like Giannis I don't expect him not to re-up while being at home in LA. Right now Harden is by far the biggest possible prize in a landslide
Don’t worry they have 3 years before he ask for a trade if they can’t win a championship. if they don’t change the rules about contracts like more specific clauses, players will still be forcing teams to trade them when they are under contract. This will become a normal thing.
LaVine (2 yrs left) Oladipo Kawhi (Player option) DeRozan/Aldridge Lowry Conley/Gobert Beal Next surprise unhappy star Meh... (Heat should try for Beal. Wizards ain’t taking back TH/DR )
If he demands for a trade in one or two years after another playoff dissapointment, noone would blame him. The Bucks have been a horribly run team with terrible coaching for most of his time here.
Yeah, outside of Kawhi this is a meh bunch. I also expect Kawhi to re-sign. He's wanted to play in LA all this time and even after winning in Toronto he bolted for LA. Of course impossible to say, if Playoff P continues to show up he might be eagerly packing his bags.
