The attacks from the right are racist. Rafael Warnock is called Radical at every turn. Jon Ossoff on the other hand is merely going to help the radicals. It is the kind of covert racism that the right dismisses, but it is clearly there.
Those numbers were high in the general and Biden still won. Interesting site will be checking periodically.
Complacency does not seem to be an issue in the counties Biden won. https://www.augustachronicle.com/st...allots-jan-5-u-s-senate-runoffs-i/6513406002/
Biden won - barely - with Republicans voting for Purdue & Biden. It was an anti-Trump vote rather than a pro-Democrat vote. The best comparison point was that Biden won by 12000 votes while Purdue won by 80,000 votes (but just under 50.0). That means a lot of people voted Purdue/Biden, which is a huge problem for Dems. In the end, Purdue actually got more votes than Trump, while Ossoff was 100,000 short of Biden. To win this time around, Dems can't have a similar electorate to the General - it has to be some combo of younger, less-white, and/or more women basically.
IIRC the Ds have registered 50+K new voters between early November and now. Let's see what GOTV magic Stacey Abrams can do.
I agree because a lot of Biden voters split the ticket but I have to wonder how depressed the republican vote might be since Trump is not on the ticket and some are saying don't vote for Republicans because the senators did not back Trump. I just don't think Republicans in Georgia are that enthused about these candidates or voting in general but then Democrats could also not be as enthused. We will see.
Yeah - I sort of dismissed other ways of winning, but you're right - Trump voters not turning out or Perdue/Loeffler going psycho this last month turning Biden/Perdue voters away from them are two other routes for Dems.
Voted today. Line was long. The older gentleman in front of me collapsed and was taken to the hospital. I'm so glad the President can continue to trash absentee voting.
Older for the most part and majority black. I would have been the only white person under 50 I saw. But this early voting site is on the North side of town, which is much blacker than the south side. The high school (Northside) that serves the area is only 31% white and 50% black in a county that is 63% white. My wife actually works in the building that early voting takes place at on the south side, but she probably won't be back to work until after the new year. What I can tell you is that line is definitely much whiter.
Impossible to know really. The turnout to early voting is encouraging. It isn't what it was for the general, but I've never seen lines at runoffs like this. I live in a Republican County and am a CPA specializing in taxes. Naturally I deal with more Republican voters on a regular basis, but they have positioned themselves well. Just have to hope that fear doesn't win out. Loeffler & Perdue have run disgusting campaigns, while Warnock and Ossoff have been very positive.

Her living there, along with her newfound celebrity, probably tanked the property value of the entire neighborhood. Nobody wants to live next to a crazy person. And the types of people that voted for her, and adore her, still cant afford to live in that neighborhood despite the plummeting prices. LULZ
