Turtle face is a disgrace. One guy holding up everything that could help millions in a time of need. However, talk about further tax cuts to corporations and the wealthy, now you're speaking his language. Federal deficits be damned.

The game being, of course, that if Pelosi rejects it as bulls***, he can blame her. And if she accepts it, she capitulated, and Great Leader reigns supreme.

“What kind of negotiation is it when you go from $3.4 trillion to $188 billion in new money? That is not a negotiation. That is a collapse,” Sanders said by telephone on Monday afternoon. “We cannot go home until there [are] strong unemployment benefits plus $1,200 per adult, $500 per kid for every working person and family in this country.”

    - Bernie Sanders

Wait I thought Pelosi had all of the leverage?

This should be used to beat both Senators over the head with in Georgia and then all republicans in 2022.

Voters in battleground states didn't want socialism. Didn't help Dems take control of congress.

As I will continue to say all her leverage is gone since the presidential election is over with. That $1.8 trillion deal is looking pretty good compared to this. 400 billion of this is from the original cares act. She needs to stop reading the art of the deal...

Her leverage was on the presumption Dems would win congress and pass a larger bill to prod Mnuchin/Trump to take credit for another stimulus/relief check before it happened.

McConnell didn't want to be a part of either outcome.

How did she ever have leverage when mitch would never vote on it?

Mitch would never vote on the 1.8 trillion either, what part of that did you miss?

    She never had any leverage.

It's funny how Pelosi gets **** for not being tough enough and still gets **** when she passes a bill that Mitch refuses to vote on but its her fault for not taking the scraps.

    Which is it?

I'm not changing my opinion and like Bernie I'm wondering what the hell kind of negotiation is this? She turned down Mnuchin's offer to get a worst deal...lol.

Also Mitch has already said he would have put the bill on the floor of the Senate for a vote if Trump/Mnuchin and Pelosi reached an agreement.

So in the face of the facts you will not change your opinion?

Sounds like some other people during this election, hmmmmmm.

This is what he also said to the white house which killed the deal, do you actually think he would have voted on it?

    https://www.ksla.com/2020/10/20/mcconnell-says-any-pelosi-mnuchin-deal-would-get-senate-vote/

McConnell on Tuesday told fellow Republicans that he has warned the White House not to divide Republicans by sealing a lopsided $2 trillion relief deal with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi before the election — even as he publicly said he’d slate any such agreement for a vote.

    So know Mitch is trustworthy?

He is till trying to kill a deal, yet for some reason its Nancy's fault.

    https://www.wfla.com/news/politics/congress-stuck-mcconnell-resists-state-aid-in-covid-19-deal/

WASHINGTON (AP) — An emerging $900 billion COVID-19 aid package from a bipartisan group of lawmakers has all but collapsed after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Republican senators won’t support $160 billion in state and local funds as part of a potential trade-off in the deal.

McConnell’s staff conveyed to top negotiators Thursday that the GOP leader sees no path to an agreement on a key aspect of the lawmakers’ existing proposal — a slimmed-down version of the liability shield he is seeking for companies and organizations facing potential COVID-19 lawsuits — in exchange for the state and local funds that Democrats want.

Considering McConnel didn't get seriously threatened in his reelection and Republicans have a very good chance of holding their majority too many in this country feel that way too.
