This PS5 controller is SOMETHING ELSE man. 10/10 controller. The stand the system comes with, 2/10. I lay mine horizontal and the stand moves out of place when you move the console around.

Ebay is a problem. They are encouraging scalping because the fees they make off of listing.

As much as I didn't like them, maybe retailers were correct to force bundles at launch in previous generations. Not a perfect solution, but it would probably be better than what we have now.

I use mine horizontal as well and the stand is indeed a joke.

The glossy part of the PS5 looks cheap as hell too.

Anybody using a next gen console with HDMI 2.0? Wondering how smooth it is without a HDMI 2.1 TV. I have an LG OLED C8 from 2018

the c8 will still give you 120hz, but i think only at 1080p.
i think the freesync and 120hz 4k is the main advantages for 2.1
but you should know your picture quality is superior to the cheap skates

VRR is theoretically fully available on hdmi 2.0 for 4k 60fps and 1440p/1080p 120hz, so the difference is pretty much meaningless with this gen. It's just that the older LGs don't offer it, compared to Samsung for example.

Freesync also is only one VRR tech, it's not the same as GSync or inherent hdmi 2.1 VRR.
Only XBox implements Freesync, PS5 is normal VRR.

This is what i figured. With my c8, wont most games run at 4k/60 fps anyway?

Yea, nearly every game will not hit anything beyond 4k/60, except for some older multiplayer titles or arcade games.
Your C8 still doesn't have any VRR form unfortunately, so in some titles where it hovers around let's say 55-60fps, you'd notice some frame drops.

It's not too much of an issue (VRR currently makes the picture quality worse as well on TVs) and I'd wait for the 2021 or later models that will have proper 2.1 (current models don't hit full 2.1 bandwidth and have other missing features often, plus VRR issues).

Mini LED from Samsung and LG will also hit the market in 2021, which combines the strengths of OLED&QLED and has pretty much no downsides. So buying a TV now is pretty bad timing.

That's what I decided to do. The saving here recently just didn't justify the purchase for me. I know I would have been happy with whatever this year whether it was the LGCX, TCL 6 or H9G but if I was going to upgrade my little gaming room I might as well wait for all the issues to get straightened out. After reading about some of these TVs this year it seems like they either took a half step forward or a step back from previous models. Now I can go back to focusing on the furniture like I was before I got caught up in some possible savings here recently.

Edit: Thanks to all for advice and vids that were posted, I learned quite a bit from all of it.
