In some fairness, Harden was a "bench player" too his first 3 seasons.

Okay, so his personality and attitude might suck, but as a player, on court he is not soft. I know he's had injury issues, I'd still take him over Herro.

But wins matter more than agendas or preferred aesthetics.

Simmons beat Lebron's ass in that game, score was not even close.

While playing elite defense, averaging 8 dimes and 6 boards. Seems easier building a team around Simmons than Herro, someone who was never a primary ball handler. With Simmons you are building around his playmaking and defense.

Why not? We all know he isn't a scorer but at least he scores rather efficiently. He plays intelligently and looks more for others to score.

Not all, we already have some good pieces to put around him.

Harden was a playmaker at Arizona State while Herro played as a super role at Kentucky. Naturally Harden was drafted higher because of it since he already had the part of his game.

But he wasn't drafted as high because Harden was more complete coming in the NBA. They had different collegiate careers/roles.

    I disagree completely.

He may not be a 3ball shooter but he is the best at 3ball assists.

He is just elite in this category. Ditto with his defense, elite guarding 1-5.

And his transition offense is elite as well.

60% TS is not just happenstance.

I can agree with everything you said except the TS%, when you don’t take tough shots it should absolutely be high. In fact it’s fairly low because his FT% is so low.

you stay just posting dumb every single day. do you even know what simmons did that game. just for you. lets take a look

    3-13. going 8,7,3

meanwhile lets look at the 4 other players in the lineup

    Butler: 6-10 going 15,4,3
    Embiid: 12-16 going 37,14, 3
    Harris: 9-14 going 22,6,6
    Reddick: 8-13 going 21,5,2

but per you, thank god simmons was the reason they won. please let us know where it's convenient to highlight simmons in that game. oh wait there may be a reason, he was one of the least reasons

But it's not LOW, it's at a near elite level.

Harden had a 63% TS last season.

Giannis and AD had 61% TS.

    Lebron had 58% TS.

his TS% isn't anything to be impressed with for someone who takes very little shots and can only hit shots at the rim

I'm still impressed with his offensive efficiency, considering it's not a strength.

To be fair his complaint about needing to get more players involved was after a loss that put them down 3-1 in the series in a game where he scored 15 on 8 shot attempts. It's still a really bad look but it was more of him thinking that getting him more looks would help them win vs. valuing his stats over playoff wins.

There are a lot of question marks about MPJ. The two you noted and also he's atrocious defensively right now. But his reasonable ceiling looks substantially higher than Herro's right now. All things equal with trade packages I'd absolutely rather take a swing with MPJ over Herro.

I know it’s not low, but it’s exaggerated because he literally only takes shots at the basket and free throws.
It should be higher considering that fact. With only 2 pt fg (career 57%) and FT (career 59%) being the only thing leading to his 58% career TS% that’s fairly low.

As usual you continue to post nonsense. Quit quoting me wasting my time. And no surprise you couldn’t say anything relevant back. Foh

no wonder you like a 3-13 line. It looks like a typical westbrick shooting night. Impresses all the stans
