I don't really see how that is a similar situation as Harden was the foundation or see how Simmons and WB are similar players.
I would puke if the Rockets didn't get picks in addition to good players for Harden. If they're raising another team's championship potential for the next few years, then that team needs to give up future unrealized assets.
Who won this game again? 76ers and it wasn't that close. Lebron's Lakers have not won many games against Simmon's 76ers.
It’s similar in that neither can shoot, and offensively it’s not impossible, but also not easy to compensate for that. There is a reason he is just as likely to score 12 points, as he is 22 points. TS% for his lack of attempts is not impressive and not something you all should be highlighting. With Ben, you would need some BIG time, amazing scorers to go with him.
Ouch. Yeah, i was prolly out of line to say ppl dumb for their opinion. I'm just SO FLABBERGASTED [ ;-) ] that people voted for Ben Simmons. Maybe you can help me understand. IMHO, this guy very overrated and a terrible option to build a package around for James Harden. Btw, Tyler Herro out here looking like Jesus on the court (preseason game against Pelicans).
the Lakers were a 34 win team that year smart WC playoff teams will do this to him, and it will work as he’ll be out there getting completely bottled up
Herro has incredibly narrow shoulders (affects how much muscle he can add without hurting his mobility), he isn't a freak athlete, and he doesn't have a Curry level shot. I'm not so sure how high his ceiling is. MPJ would be more interesting to me if we're trading for potential.
i've seen that vid well before it was even posted. in summary teams camp in the perimeter guarding simmons just like they do westbrick. translation: in the modern era of basketball, if hes expected to be your best player you're in trouble and unlike with westbrick, harden isn't going to be here for him to hide behind
Not sure what you have against him to call him soft after on rookie season. He finishes very well in the paint. He has real star potential. The potential to be better than anybody we're talking about trading Harden for, I'd rather have him over Hero.
The guy has been injury prone up until this point. Check his history. Will sit out in a heartbeat. Did it at every level he's played at. b****ed about not getting ball while winning in the playoffs last year too. I'm not a fan.
I'm coming around on the Herro idea... ONLY CUZ it's wanting the Harden saga to end, and just get back what we can. Not because of his skills. I'm just not gonna be too mad having lowest expectations, basically. Plus he can be a "fan favorite" type, keep some interest in product. (Anything worse than Herro is a disaster)
