The most sure thing would be Lebron becoming a FA and join the team that has his son Bronny to tutor him 1-2 years.
If Wall and Cousins were in their primes I guess we could afford to give up one of the greatest players of all time for those two good young role players and some picks. Herro plus Bam or Butler and picks only.
Harden is clearly better then Davis (much better imo), but AD was 26 when he got traded, and the Lakers knew they were getting 7/8 years of prime out of him, Harden is 31 and unless he commits he might be a two years rental...age is definitely a factor to consider if we are comparing scenarios.
Some people need to remember this was a BUBBLE PLAYOFF !! no opposing fans, or travel, or hotel meals trying to poison you... the bubble apparently changed Tyler’s last name to HERO for some posters
You do realize no one is trading a "superstar" for Harden, right? The point is pairing those superstars together, not trading one for another.
I guess the 55 games prior to it don't count either. As a matter of fact just throw out the whole season apparently
There's a lot of things that can change for a team. If you told me 6 months ago Harden was "demanding" a trade I would've been pretty shocked. If your best offer is centered around Herro + mediocre picks then it is probably better to wait to see if a superstar or a pick that can become a superstar becomes available sometime between now and trade deadline.
if you're keeping things in perspective then the playoffs are without a doubt something that's to be included regardless of the circumstances.
Herro and Duncan have more upside. They're on better contracts. It's one year of playoffs, but them guys been to the finals. Philly hasn't gotten past the 2nd round. One could argue, they have had deeper playoff experiences.
If the Rockets can pair Harden with complementary players like Herro and Robinson - we may be in business!
No... we should chill relax and see what else gets thrown our way. Best player most potential and then we take it!
Miami already traded their 2021 and 2023 first round picks to the Clippers. The Clippers traded them to OKC. Both picks are protected, at least through 2026. Unless I'm wrong, that means they can't trade a 1st round pick through 2027, as you can't trade back to back picks. The Heat "package" sucks. Which is why it hasn't happened yet...
the funny thing is that comparison is more relevant to simmons rather than herro. simmons would be the epitome of being mediocre while locked in that garbage money
