Harden not speaking to the media today is the least shocking thing. Harden isn't someone that likes to work things out through the media and for the most part doesn't like the media so this is exactly what I expected.

    Another Tilman and Stone special.

They just suck getting ahead of these issues, prefer disinformation after the fact.

    Morale killers.

The guy is 36, undersized, unathletic, and can't finish in the paint. He's a good defender but they need to get bigger at his position anyway.

Stone has shown a proclivity toward cowardice.

I’d say it’s PJ killing morale whining about his contract situation instead of doing his job. He has a contract. You don’t play 2/3 your contract and use the last year to complain about another one. Clearly he’s been hanging with Harden too much.

It's not about AGE, it's about PERFORMANCE.

Everything PJ is saying is to be celebrated, not derided.

PJ is Battier-esque in his work ethic and willingness to do ANY job.

Tucker would be a 3/4 under Silas. He was only forced to play small ball 5 FT because Morey was unable to acquire a true 5 at trade deadline last season.

    PJ is a F'ing WARRIOR.

I'm not defending Stone here, but considering his attorney background and Rockets' previous GM's media issues (China comment) it's probably intentional and not based on bravery

It's like you've never followed the NBA.

Of course this is what players do.

As long as Stone is working, I couldnt care less about his lack of media availability.

Give it a few years and Harden may have more liquid assets than the owner

This is a problem and I honestly do not know how much of it is Stone and how much of it is ownership not wanting anyone other than Silas to comment.... because comments by the GM and owner caused problems for the Rockets since Tilman bought the team.

The GM doesn't need to take questions everyday, but he should have at a minimum issued a statement or taken comments when camp opened and when it closes. Right now I question what is happening in that front office.

I love PJ. I want him to also retire a Rocket because he deserves it. Unfortunately, it doesn't make any sense for us to extend PJ without commitment from Harden. It's weird to be linking PJ's extension to Harden's commitment, but I mean, what's the point of the Rockets keeping PJ if we aren't championship contenders? It's a business world at that point and he gets left out because of his age.

It's not that we don't want him, I don't think it has anything to do with that, it's just that Tilman is not going to pay for him because of the Harden issue.

And yes, extremely frustrating that Stone keeps dodging the media. He needs to grow a freaking pair and address the media. We all know that Harden wasn't going to address the media, so Stone needs to put his big boy pants on and stop letting his coach and other players handle all the James Harden questions.

I just started watching when we signed this Boogie guy.

no but this is extreme. I can’t recall a 36 year old role player being so vocal about the end of his contract. Or a star w 2 years left on his deal who has gotten every accommodation in 8 years demanding to be traded because he’s made who the owner voted for.

this is some rather immature stuff...

Interesting take. I respect your posts on here, but in my opinion him addressing the media on every topic isn't that important... especially contract negotiations with PJ Tucker
