"With Duncan robinson ,he kinda reminds me of Klay thompson" - that's a huge stretch. DR is far more likely to amount to a Kyle Korver-type of rotation player.
But, you see, the OP had an opinion that he couldn't possibly risk getting lost in one of the other 10 threads on exactly this topic, which of course are populated by people whose opinions aren't at the same level.
THATS HORRIBLE. NONE of those guys have a chance of even being perennial all-stars. AND the picks suck ass. I pray to god the Rockets do something they haven’t done in the Tilman era and show some balls and discipline. Run. It. Back. For at least a quarter of the season. these offers are so atrociously bad, they’ll be there forever.
Funny, but you know that's coming to a CF thread near you if the trade happens. We will all come with our **** sandwich return in our own ways. Personally, I'll be blaming it mostly on Tilman.
I love Herro but if the main piece we're getting back is Tyler then forget it. Unless Miami is going to add 6+ 1st Rounders to Herro I wouldn't even pick up that phone call from Riley.
Herro, maybe at some point. Duncan Robinson and Kendrick Nunn were undrafted rookies -- and are both older than Ben Simmons. Credit the Heat for finding them, but Robinson is basically a rich man's Ben Mclemore (solid role player) and Nunn fading in the playoffs gives a fairly high probability he's fool's gold backup (see, Johnson, Tyler) vs. a star. Add to the fact you'd have to absorb a couple of overweight contracts (Olynk and Iggy) and that's not even close to fair value. Bam and Herro is worth discussing. I'd think about Bam and Robinson too. But if you're not getting back a young all star, the picks must be an absolute motherlode.
While I prefer Miami’s package to Philly’s in the hypothetical you posted, I would fee no rush or obligation to jump on either offer. We can and should wait for better offers or keep Harden. You rarely have one of the top five players in the league; we will never get equal value in return so we have all the leverage
Imagine if Herro had one mvp caliber season let alone 5! We’d have to trade Harden plus our picks just to get him back! Bam, Herro, Achuiwa and 2 firsts. 3 young players with potential and additional assets for the obviously superior player. That’s the kind of deal we are going to get by waiting.
Heavily load managed and still a Top 3 seed and with the refs in their pockets, I'd say yeah. Jordan could have won 2 more being 36 and Bron got more help. AD I believe at 27 is more injury prone than Bron. Endangered #Unicorn
The problem here is Miami is offering their 3rd best player along with role other role players and picks, you have to get more for a player who shares stat categories with Wilt and MJ. Herro is a nice player but could also have a 'Linsanity' effect right now.
It must be a trade...that we recieve a star...3 players on the rookie contract and 3 1st and one 2nd picks.... Butler, Nunn and Herro.....at least 4 draft pricks
Of the offers we currently have, if I had to make a move, I'd do the Miami move. I'd want it to be Herro, Robinson, Precious, Olynyk and Iguodala and three firsts. I'd then flip a future first and Gordon for someone younger and more controllable (like Hield). If I could include a second first round pick (and maybe House) and get Marvin Bagley, I would absolutely make these deals today.
The kid is a hell of a player and showed it where you want a young player to show it, in the playoffs. Excellent court vision, connecting on difficult passes time and again, also with some very good lobs. Really solid body control around the basket for a 20 year old and he was making layups with either hand. A heck of a shooter from three, of course, but also making midrange shots and showed a floater. Herro seemed to be pretty good on defense, but he impressed me more at the other end. Just a casual viewer watching the Miami series, but seeing Herro playing for the Heat in the Bubble was a lot of fun. We could definitely do worse than getting him in a package from the Miami. We'd need more than Herro for Harden (and maybe PJ?), of course, but the rookie looks like he might end up being a star if he can remain healthy. He really does, in my opinion. Add Bam and picks and start the conversation from there. I'd still rather have Simmons.
