Up next, the Astros are being forced to change their name from "Astros" bc historically African Americans and Hispanics have not represented a large percentage of Astronauts.
The Spiders were the first Major League team in Cleveland, there was a bunch of chicanery and they eventually ended up as the Indians. So **** your history that apparently goes all the way back to a movie starring Bob Uecker and Corbin Bernson, and not even a top 5 baseball movie at that.
How about the Texans? We're growing increasingly embarrassed that a football team named after us does not represent the culture, values, and winning attitude of true Texans.
Why does it bother any Astros fan what Cleveland calls their team? I'm personally glad they changed it, but that didn't go beyond an amused "huh!" Whatever they're called, they'll still be eliminated by our Astros in the first round.
I am looking forward to the end of this story... https://theathletic.com/2260979/202...b4mVcmITG1X85LOTsSGhN5bMrClxC_hUhoKdn1MHumYI4 Yankees president Randy Levine had not finished his opening statement in oral arguments Monday morning, his first court appearance as counsel in many years, when he was interrupted by Judge Gerard Lynch of the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Representing the team that employs him, Levine was arguing against the public release of an investigative letter sent by Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred to the team in 2017. In June, Judge Jed Rakoff of the Southern District of New York ordered the letter should become public because it informed his decision-making in a case brought against MLB and some teams by DraftKings players who alleged they were defrauded by electronic sign-stealing in the sport. Both Rakoff’s decision to dismiss the case and to allow the letter’s release were argued Monday.
I couldn't agree more. Maybe I am wrong, but I am afraid we wont be able to afford any (top Tor guys) in the future if we sign Correa long term.
I just explained this to my wife the other day. She found it disgusting, but also learned some new slang. win win.
