Man it seems like we fired BOB like a decade ago, who really thought this team would be able to turn it around after going 0-4? Realistically the season was over in the off-season with the crazy moves.
Cal deciding not to fire O’Brien after that 24-0 meltdown has set the franchise back he is to blame for all this even more so than O’Brien cause he didn’t cut the cancer out early enough
Running out of things to say about this dung pile of a franchise. Might copy and paste that to save myself the trouble next week...
We're still posting and watching which means we want this franchise to succeed. Houston football fans deserve so much better than the effort this defense and o-line has shown all season. It's disgraceful. Terrible defenses I've seen in the 2010s: 1.The 2020 Texans. 2. The 2012 Saints. 3.The 2010 Texans. But I'm also excited about what the end of this tragic b.o.b era will bring. The correct hire can catapult this franchise. When are the head coaches usually hired? I recall Kubiak being late January but the GM was already here. I don't want to google B.O.B cause I'll get images of that face. I need it erased from memory.
Mike devlin prolly won’t be in the nfl again it’s crazy It’s like O’Brien hired a bunch of his drinking buddies to coach Key positions none of them are good at they job not one it was all about them being likable in his eyes
This team has so many holes .. obviously, but the offensive line for me is just such a disaster after allocating so many assets and cap room to try and at least have THAT as a strength, but it now has to be addressed as well as all the other issues. So many fires to put out. So I guess Sharpring is a bust? Charlie Heck has been a healthy scratch most of the year too right? Bust for him too? Sua Filo was a bust. Martinas Rankin was a bust. Tunsil looked like **** yesterday. Howard has looked like **** most of the year. Martin is overpaid and below average. Fulton sucks. Kelemete sucks. How did OBrien go from inheriting a very good OL to trotting out THIS abomination? The 2015 OL consisted of Duane Brown, Ben Jones, Chris Meyers, Brandon Brooks and Tyson Clabo (probably the only negative of the bunch). The next year? Brown, Sua Filo, Greg Mancz, Jeff Allen, Chris Clark (yeesh). Yeah great we have a borderline elite QB, but he has NOTHING around him. No WRs, No OL, No TE who can distinguish himself (another position group with how many 3rd rounders?). Depressing.
No RBs/running game No pass rush No run defense No secondary No cap space No draft picks Other than that, things are looking up!
And that is why I don’t think Watson’s timeframe is going to line up with a rebuild. It could happen with the right leadership but I have my doubts.
This has been happening way too often, the miscommunications. The center is supposed to be the one that sees all, a qb for the O-line. Since Martin got the starting gig it's been a hot mess. The year before, sure Mancz was over powered a couple of times but mental mistakes or wiffing was not a weekly thing for him. I even think he was 8th PFF of all linemen in 2016 but like Ben Jones the staff didn't like him. They wanted power and more 'versatility'. https://torotimes.com/2017/07/05/pff-greg-mancz-secret-superstar-for-houston-texans/
So true. A playoff roster was already there, just needed smarter leadership and vision. Imagine if BOB was let go the next morning and a competent GM was in place before the Hopkins trade, before the draft, before making decisions on Carlos Hyde. SMDH
