I'd rather he put the bench on him, like literally. The kid was absolutely clueless on offense and even worse on defense last night.
EGo is not a PG, he cannot run any units. He is a secondary ball handler, at best. But much better as tertiary ball handler, he has really poor court vision and has predilection to tunnel vision. EGo is a score first, score 2nd guard.
Exactly... instant offense off the bench! Nothing more. Again Tillman is dumbsheet for not paying another 3 and d sf. Ego = instant offense off the bench because that is what he is good at. We need an Ariza replacement now!
Value for what or who? Hate to break it to you bro but we aren't as guard heavy as we were last year without Rivers.
Ok. What team is going to give you who for him? What team do you go to for a trade and they say yes for him without making this team worse? His role that he fulfills for the team is the thing we would be seeking anyways.
And I saying if his value increases that would most likely mean he is playing well thus being what we are looking for. Increasing his value would only be relevant if we are trying to rebuild otherwise we would need the exact role he fills. So basically you are insinuating we should rebuild right now before giving the season a chance?
Trading EGo is not sign of rebuild. Moving 6th man for a starter is sign of improving first 5. Rockets need to upgrade the 4 spot more than they need to start another sub 6'5 player. EGo is unreliable, he's only had 1 season when he's been completely healthy AND efficient from 3. That's 1 season out of 4. And if Rockets want to be real challengers to the Lakers then Rockets need to get taller/longer and more physical. Rockets need 1 more 4/5 (preferably of starter quality) that can provide efficient iso defense on bigs like Lebron, AD & Gasol.
