Once again Herro is being praised as a rookie and as the 3rd best player in Miami. He isnt expected to compete vs the Lebrons and Kawhis he is a complementary player, you have Jimmy Buckets and then JB passes to an open Herro for the splash. Now Herro beats his chest and snarls after making that bucket, but if JB suddenly goes down with injury Herro aint taking on the Hardens etc 1on1.

Simmons is getting bashed as the face of Sixers franchise. People are measuring him to Lebron, Giannis, Harden etc and criticizing him for being afraid to shoot. One dude is an elite complementary player, the other dude is getting judged vs the best players in the world. As the Chinese would say "A starving camel is still bigger than a horse".

This is literally missing the forest for the trees. Stats rarely tell the whole story but in this case it shows you what you need to know.

    Herro: 13.5 4.1 2.2
    Simmons: 16 7.8 8

The funny thing is people here are saying Herro is proven while Simmons is not cuz he hasnt reached the Finals. Bruh exchange Simmons and Herro pretty sure Simmons reaches the Finals too.

You realize Giannis has a lower career 3 pt% than WB right? So you telling me you'd rather have Herro over Giannis?

So what is your plan to acquire all these players?

Richardson was traded to Mavs so are you proposing 3 team trade?

Russ being a bad decision maker is NOT why we lost. We lost because just by him being on the damn floor, teams used his man to roam free and disrupt our entire offense. It destroyed our spacing. Simmons also sucks at free throws, so expect hack-a-Simmons towards the end of games. The guy is NOT a future superstar so please stop acting like we're trading Harden for a franchise player. Hes simply a crossbreed between Dwight & Russ

Yall smoking that Whitney and Bobby if yall think Tyler Herro anywhere close to Ben Simmons level lol.

If I'm Stone I'm asking for BOTH Bam and Herro as centerpiece in Harden trade

For me, Simmons is definitely the better player, but Herro might be the better fit. The more I think about it, there’s a lot to be said for that. I really like the idea of Herro in this offense, but there’s got to be a lot more included.

Not as dumb as thinking this would be my only criteria....

I mean keep going on and on.... I don’t see many average nba height shooters becoming foundational players. Essentially you are betting Herro is going to reach a near steph or klay like level.

If we go with better fit then it’s because we are building around an unknown John wall.

Yeah I have been arguing this very point. He reminds me of Jason Kidd in terms of limitations on offense but the one difference is Jason Kidd was able to shoot 3s. He is such a difficult player to play as a coach in my opinion. He isn’t particularly great in the low post or elbows but seems most comfortable there due to his deficiencies on the perimeter and iso play. He needs to at least be able to shoot the 3 ball. He is reminiscent of Rajon Rondo pre 2015, who had great shooters in pierce and allen and a dominant big in KG but still his lack of ability to shoot the 3 limited the Celtics and what they could’ve been I thought in those 3-4 years including that 2010 finals. And simmons’ 34 mil a year contract is hard to justify.

The Simmons and Westbrook comparisons tell me you don’t watch a lot of basketball outside of the Rockets.

    LOL

Of course the Heat are interested AND Herro couldn't be put on the table fast enough.

But even the Heat recognize that a Herro centered trade package is not as good as Simmons centered trade package, which is also general consensus around the league.

32% of CF is delusional. LOL
