Wall had his career-best, as well. (10.7)

 

In 2017 he was 2nd in assists per game behind Harden. He was 3rd in total assists behind Harden and Westbrook.

 

Well, 2nd best is still 1st loser.

Imagine how much better Harden would have performed his SECOND ever season as PG?

Morey is the type of guy to give you the players that fit his models and then let the coach, coach. Morey is a numbers guy he is not out here trying to overstep. But thats just what I think.

 

Glad to see such a great showing without our best player and two key starters. Hopefully this audition, against a terrible team admittedly, is a bit of evidence that this is a legit team. We have a very nice starting 5 and could have the best offense in the league if Harden sticks around.

It's a solid point of view on how our team should proceed, not like these knee jerking Harden haters.

I honestly think if Harden joins us and doesn't try to hard to take over and contribute we can go far barring no injuries.

 

Do we all know Harden played PG for more than 1 season??

Just because Paul and Westbrook were on the roster does not mean they were the PG on the team. They both played off the ball with Harden as primary ball handler and initiator of the offense (ie, PG).

It remains to be seen if Wall will be PG on this team or Harden (assuming both start game 1 regular season)

 

Hey, I would agree with you but if you read the Clutch article he stickied at top of GARM regarding Evolution of Basketball and all the corresponding links to other articles on same subject you would have seen that Morey includes both Harden and MDA in the brainstorming and achieves buy in before he brings in players for a new or tweaked system.

Morey is not coaching but he helped build the system, tinker's with it as analytics data changes depending on external factors, like new players.

You cannot be hands off and still make this changes midstream. These system changes/tweaks in midseason happened at least twice in last 3 seasons.

 

Well Harden was listed as SG again after that 2017 season.

And a co-point is not going to have same opportunities to maximize his assists as a primary/singular PG.

 

It is kind of irrelevant what they list him as!

Was LeBron listed as PG for the Lakers this year? He played it whatever they listed him as!

Great game. Who cares if Bulls suck? The impt thing is that that Cousins and Wall both look great and Caboclo shot 5/8 from 3. With these 2 we can go 5 out while not losing size at the C position.

 

If you listen to Wall post game presser he indirectly indicates Tucker was not interested in travelling with the team . He said he wishes both those guys would come and join the team. Little strange

 

Steve Nash had nearly a career 3 to 1 Assist to Turnover ratio.

Harden's lifetime is under 2-1 he has FAR too many turnovers and in the bubble it was slightly better.
