Stephen Jackson Calls Out James Harden for "Chasing Rappers" Instead of Supporting New Coach

While race could have probably been left out, jax has never been one to hold his tongue and tell it like it is. Big reason why he and Matt Barnes are so widely respected amongst the league and still to this day. He does bring some valid points up whether you agree with him or not

 

James is paid to be the FACE OF THE FRANCHISE (leader)...stats be damned. CP3 was paid the exact same and average 17PPG. He wasn't paid that for some goofy stats...he's paid that to be the FACE OF THE FRANCHISE (leader). They were paid to lead the team to a title no matter what it took.

Also, what Jackson said doesn't need interpreting. I think he stated his thoughts pretty clear. I don't disagree with him about the racial aspects of the situation either.

 

I would just like to take this time to thank Silas for being born black. Harden is in the wrong here, Silas has earned this position with the color of his skin and James is just gonna do him like that? Harden hasn't had a black coach since Mchale and is throwing it all away. Disappointed.... Thankfully we still have Westbrook...

Unbelievable the amount of people agreeing with the racial aspect. No matter how immature or “butthurt” you guys think Harden is being, the fact that you agree with that shows you’re way more immature and butthurt.

 

I'm pretty sure his contract says "play basketball". James has never been a "leader" off the court and only someone who is not paying attention would expect him to. He is not Chris Paul. Everyone should know this. Many great basketball players were horrible role modes off the court. We joke that James Harden about partying and strip clubs and we are surprised by this?

If you truly believe that then you have the answer to why this team hasn't won a championship since he's gotten here. Just two questions, why does Harden always refer to himself as a leader during his press conferences? Also, why did James get pissed when Mchale said James wasn't a leader? For someone who doesnt care about being a leader, he sure seems to care. Hmmm....

 

Any respect I had for him completely plummeted with his anti-semtism. I don't think it's out of hate but rather ignorance but that doesn't excuse it.

 

I guess Harden should punch a fan in the face too.

Your first statement is probably why Harden wants to be traded. All everyone wants to talk about is championships, and if you don't win one you mist be a bum. So he wants to go win one. Allegedly.

There is a difference between a leader on the court and one off the court. Jordan would lead on the court and go gamble, play golf, and punch his teammates. Chris Paul with his 40 million contract hasn't even smelled a finals appearance.

 

Media hates Rockets and likely steered him this direction, but one thing I will say..... when James Harden got unprofessional and disrespectful. They sure are letting him know. Which is good. Call it down the middle. Harden needs to hear what he has never heard before. Rockets made him. No team would let him dominate the ball to inflate stats like that. What happens when Harden isn't a number one option anymore?

 

Cause Harden gets everything done including getting a pass for being an ass. You’re a role model... so you’re basically creating future of enabling complainers and victims... that’s how communism starts.

 

James hasn't won yet because in order for baby Harden to be happy he wants to win on his terms. He's had chances but either he folded or didn't like a teammate and got them traded. Take your pick.
