Are you serious? For years, people were making fun of Harden's terrible defense. Back then, was a perpetual low-effort ball-watcher.

Because his offensive role dictated how engaged he was on the court.

And I feel like Dwight was going through the motions in his last year with us. You don't?

Because Harden benefited from Dwight's reduced touches. Don't you think an engaged Dwight is worth sacrificing 5 post opportunities per game? In the big picture, weren't we a better team with an engaged Dwight?

No one has ever accused Harden of being a good leader, but I've always felt that if he had a reputation for sticking up for his teammates, more stars would've wanted to play with him.

 

I disagree but real issue is some thinking it should be Simmons and some random FRP's, I would rather have a lesser player and FRP's in the top 5 and I would wait to see what shakes out instead of hitching my wagon to Simmons.

We are not against a deadline so how do you know Simmons is the best we can do?

This. My concerns with getting Simmons would be health and keeping him past his contract. John Wall is just trying to rehab his career.

And don't want Tobias, unless we move him to 3rd team for pick/good player.

 

Dude I don't have time to be researching all scenarios and every player that might be available.

Trading for Simmons is a gamble as well, since when is this the only scenario thats available for eternity?

For the record I just don't think Simmons is a real difference maker and would like to see what happens once the season starts.
