We should completely screw with them, I am the biggest Morey fan, but he's not here anymore. We should tell them we are all in, leak it about Simmons being involved, and then trade him to the team with the best offer. We will see if Simmons is disgruntled after that.

Correction: every team Harden wants to go to doesn't want him enough to make a deal.

I feel like this trade is best for both parties especially if it happens before the season starts. Harden makes Phili a legitimate title contender now. Even if Simmons balls out he isn’t on Hardens level yet. For Houston Simmons is the best player you are going to get for Harden. If Ben plays great to start the year does Phili hold back on trading him? If he has a great year I could see them looking to move Embid the following year and shaping that roster more around Ben. That pairing won’t win a title.

Morey and the 76ers consider Embiid to be the better player and more valuable asset between the 2.

This is one deal the Rockets would be stupid to pass on.

depending on what types of picks they send along with Simmons, you do this deal ASAP.

They always call it an offer that was on the table 'yesterday' .

Most want Harden for cheap or just draft picks.

    Stone rightfully holds out.

He’s proven that he can’t shoot.

    Thanks for sharing this stuff.

I'm really having a hard time understanding why Harden is acting like this now.

The team mortgaged their future to make him happy with Russ and now without him the team would be without a high draft pick this year.

He's decided to go full heel as the world is in a dark place.

I understand it's his life, but why now? Why open a restaurant now? If he doesn't sign an extension that restaurant is going to do incredibly poorly. Already opening in a pandemic puts him at a disadvantage and if he leaves, people are going to be very unhappy. Does he not realize that? Houston isn't a basketball city as it is and if he ends up getting out his restaurant is in trouble before it opens. I understand that it's not a huge amount of money to him to open a restaurant but that's a lot of people who will be working for him and if it doesn't make it would be out of work.

Why isn't he saying anything? Just cryptic stuff on instagram. He is clearly avoiding media availability. Is he thinking about what he wants? Is he afraid to face the music?

That's the main reason why I have doubt that he can be the number 1 guy on a championship team.

He does everything great. He has only one weakness. But that is a huge weakness. And yes, he has proven that. It's not like he is going to improve. He does not even try. In three seasons, he has taken a total of 24 3s and hit only 2. His shots that are more than 3 ft from the basket has a 37% FGA, 27% outside of 10 ft. And his FT shooting is on Dwight Howard level.

    https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/s/simmobe01.html

6'10" Borderline Triple Double 2 Way Player. Plays Elite defense. Great FG percentage.

Can't shoot FT's. Liability come 4th quarter with a Hack a Ben strategy. Refuses to shoot from the perimeter. (One would hope he would outgrow this but who knows)

In today's game, he's probably more of a small ball 5 or 4 man. You really need to surround him with 3 point shooters.

Some really good pluses and bad minuses but really Houston wouldn't do this deal unless we're forced to trade Harden.

Unfortunately may or may not be in that situation.

Exactly, he's a damn good player that every team would love to have, but his shooting issues are a massive red flag! And on top of that he's due max money. I don't see anyway we can expect to going to compete for a title going forward with him as the centerpiece. I understand he can try to improve his shooting but at the same time you can also try to polish a turd but it's still a piece of ****.
