Ok you like luka who needs the ball in his hands. Lets not act like booker and fox don’t exist and both teams needed bigs. Teams have different draft needs. Some people take possible bpa. Others take best fit available. It’s preference and why no team is like the other. Doesn’t make them idiots or wrong. That’s just what they want to do.

Who’s to say luka would be the same player he is now if he had to share a backcourt with guys like booker and fox who also need the ball in their hands for a good amount of time. He has the full reigns in Dallas and the ball is in his hands more than harden’s is here. What did Dallas do when they got luka. They didn’t go out looking for another backcourt guy to share the ball with. They went and got their own Ayton/bagley type and went after a big in KP. Now they’re filling in where they can around those 2

Then I see no need for a deal with Miami. I’m leaning towards just holding Harden hostage at this point. Don’t want Simmons either.....

I’d be ok with either but we’d have to get back more draft capital in a herro trade. I think herro would fit better with the team as currently constructed but I think Simmons will be the better player in the long run.

what? Is this a real post? Luka would be Luka no matter what team he’s on. He’s legit. Real deal. Whatever.

and yes I can absolutely imagine him next to Booker. It’d be ****ing amazing.

the issue is, yea we can hold him, but his value is not going to increase next year, and the year after that he can walk for nothing. the offers from contenders are not going to significantly increase because they are trying to win a title. if they give up too much you cant compete with the likes of the lakers. they are STACKED.

Disagree. Not with booker and fox. You’re not getting the same keys coming in as a rook like he did with Dallas. That’s how he’s developed. And take notice how they’re still not trying to pair a booker/fox type in the backcourt with him. Because it absolutely matters and they want the ball in luka’s hands not anyone else’s

    agree to disagree.

As did the Suns two years too late apparently.

Doesn’t look too late. Booker has developed nicely and ayton is well on his way. Phx is now trending up who are still a extremely young team

I mean.. the people who would vote for Simmons here are clearly the type to hate on Klay and think he's worthless.

Ben can be a starter on a good team. And he is. But without a jump shot, this guy is a smaller and more athletic Dwight Howard with handles.

No thank you. I'd rather settle for more picks, or just a package full of people who can shoot.

People are indeed excited about them now that they have a ball dominant PG next to Booker.

Who is a pure passer general rather than a ball dominant scorer. The all nba upgrade from Rubio that they’ve already seen

I think Herro might be the better fit, but it would depend on what else came with him. It would need to be a lot...

If you pay me 4M USD I'll beat my chest, snarl and **** all day.

I can't be 6'10 and basically be a Giannis clone no matter how much you pay me.

I cant believe 30% voted Herro lmao. Hell I'd take Barrett as a rebuilding piece over Herro right now.

Don’t think there’s any way that a deal gets done with Miami without him being a part of it. If they want a James Harden, they’re going to need to get right with that.

Right. But I dont think it matters cuz both are so young you prob aint contending any time soon.

Herro is a nice sidekick, 3rd or 4rth best player on your team. Simmons can be top 1. There's a big diff between the 2 lmao.

When you realize Herro is 4 years younger than Simmons, it makes you think twice about it.

Considering it’s very unlikely Simmons ever develops a jumpshot, I think Herro actually has the higher ceiling. Simmons however raises the floor and is a sure bet to at least perform at an all-star level.

When did Dwight ever lead NBA in steals?

Or play point on any of his teams?

Or show the ability to play lockdown switch defense 1-5?
