Simmons + Thybulle is like trying to get away from an octopus in a heavy blanket.

    They are smothering on defense.

    Absolutely criminal.

With Wood at the 5 that's an absolutely elite front court, all 25 or younger.

This is not a good way to go through life.

There are unique individuals who break stereotypes and evolve traditional thinking for the better.

It happens in all fields, in all areas.

Wall is temporary until his value is rebuilt.

    Already 30.

If he could shoot is a big if. That's like saying if I was 7 ft I'd be good too. I mean who's the last guy who developed a good jump shot at his age?

I've watched him when he plays the Rockets and nothing he does stands out.

This was directed specifically at Ben Simmons. I know there are anomalies but that's Giannis and Shaq. If he was as physically dominant as either of those two then yes.

If he played in the 80s/90s he'd be a great player. But in the new NBA you have to be able to score efficiently to win.

yeah, agree. Value rebuilt and contract paid down a year or 2. When he opts in, he’s going to be valuable as salary filler for a star.

You gotta do it now while the offer is still there.

But then again the blurb is all just this guy's suppositions.

Simmons is only 24 yrs old.

Kyle Lowry was shooting 3 pters in 20s till age 24.

Rajon Rondo went from shooting 25% from 3 to 35% at age 29.

According to reports Simmons spends hours working on his shooting and shoots 3 pters during practice. It's all mental so a change of environment might be the catalyst for him. Rox should pull the trigger on the trade if available if Sixers go out swinging that offer might be gone.

First choice is not to trade Harden of course. And @Codman has reassured us that this relationship is still salvageable.

However, should a trade go down, then THIS is our best case scenario to receive close to value in return.

I would even include Ben McLemore for Justin Anderson + Ryan Broekhoff + 2 SRP.

But it is the follow up trade with SAC that must happen:

    EGo, House + FRP(s) for Hield & Woodward (3-D rook at 6'7 w/7'1 wingspan)

    Wall/Maxey/Brown
    Hield/Broekhoff
    Thybulle/Nwaba/Woodward
    Simmons/Anderson/KJ
    Wood/Cousins/Bruno

In a year or 2, trade Wall for more complementary players or combine with Hield + FRP for star scorer like Bradley Beal.

still not a Hield believer, and I’m worried if proven right, he would be an anchor on our cap.

I think the right move is to stop at the Harden-Simmons trade, and then let time be your friend.

With each passing day, Wall and Gordon’s contracts get paid down and the value of the picks we traded for goes up.

let Silas and Wood prove themselves. Then you can legitimately go to stars around the league and say we have Simmons, Wood and one of the best coaches in the league, plus we have the picks and contracts to trade for you. I think that’s the route.

Simmons and Wood PnR would be unstoppable.

No defender can check either player going downhill even if they try to sag off them, both are too long explosive and excellent finishers.

If Simmons develops a stop and pop middie, forget about it.

I've lost any belief in EGo getting back to 2018 form and his snakiness worries me around such a young team and especially influencing young first time head coach.

Wtf? And you b**** about Harden speculation.

Gordon from all reports seems like an outstanding citizen and a great teammate.

Gordon ain't going to influence the young guys to waste time at strip clubs and night clubs.

The key with those guys is they actually shot it. I'd feel better about Simmons if he actually attempted them and missed them. But how's he gonna get better if he just flat out refuses to shoot it.
