i find it funny that most people's analysis of the rockets is:

1) james harden with the ball creates some of the greatest offense ever
2) james harden's teammates don't like watching him with the ball
3) therefore, the rockets should stop catering to james harden's selfish desire to create some of the best offense ever and should cater to his teammate's selfish desires to have the ball and create less efficient offense. bad james harden, bad.

Harden creates great offense in the regular season due to teams playing different teams every other night and not getting used to the mannerisms and tendencies that you pick up in a 7 game series. Hence why the Rockets offensive efficiency tanks in the playoffs more than other teams.

Look at the difference between how Harden was guarded in game 1 of the Lakers and then the rest of the series. You can make easy adjustments on Harden and the Rockets offense due to its very predictable nature.

2018 was one of the better teams in nba history. arguably top 25 ever. we just happenen to need to beat one of the 3 or 4 best teams in history and try to do it with our second best player in street clothes. that was an exceptional team. somehow it hasn't sunk in for people that up until durant tore his achilles, the 2015-2019 warriors had the most dominant 5 year run of any team in history. we weren't supposed to be able to come close to beating them.

And yet, we have never lost to a team that was worse than us in talent. We have always lost and have been competitive with teams that have more talent. When you face great defensive teams, your offense goes down. Harden's last three playoffs have been exceptional. And sure our offense can tank but its still good relative to the league. The only people who have outstanding offensive efficiency in the playoffs are the teams with the most talent.

Westbrook, done. Easy. If you are getting a double team, your other "superstar" should be able to create 4v3,or 4v4 done end of story. Never had a problem with doubles with Chris Paul.
