From what I was told he is doing well. He is expected to have some soreness and is still adjusting to playing on both sides.
He is just kind of a snake. He is known as a guy that gets down and complains a lot. Now that MDA and Harden are not present he is kissing lots of ass. For the most part he is harmless, just sometimes high maintenance.
They are hungry and wanted a new start...... we really lacked that the last couple years. When CP3 first came over we had the same thing..... when a team doesn't win a title, sometimes it is good to bring in a few appreciative and hungry guys..... Wall, Cousins and Nwaba all are very motivated.
He whines a lot on the court. I used to say it didn't matter if he made or missed a shot, he should leave his arms up because he usually ends up throwing them up and complaining anyway. But I didn't know he was like that "all the time". If I had to guess, I would think he'd be the type to stay away from politics and didn't complain. Seemed like a bit of a pouter, though, but nothing serious. *shrug*
I can see that. I bet he thinks if had the ball in hands as much as Harden he would be comparable, that's to be expected from a pro athlete but delusional as well. Harden and MDA is the best thing that has happened to him, he does not have the handles to be anything better. I can't hate because he brings it on defense regardless.
Wall Ego Mclemore/Brown House Nwaba Simmons PJ Wood Cousins That's a deep playoffs team with a load of picks. Or we keep Harden. Either way seems pretty good.
He mostly complains about playing time, how he is being used, if the team isn't doing well...... he isn't a cancer, but more of someone that isn't going to always be 100% team at all times. As far as I know, other than being annoying at times, most the players and coaches are good with him. He shows up and practices and plays hard. I know in the past some of the players did not like his "I told you so" after the fact...... but he has been on the team for a long time and he isn't an outsider or anything like that. FWIW I expect him to have a really good year.
Sounds nice till Harden gets to camp, and he call's off the backscreens in order to do a back step 3. If there's no Harden, sure... I think Silas could have a fun offense ALA Adelman's corner offense which kept the Rockets very competitive when their best player was Kevin Martin, but it looks like he's going to start the season with the team and bring drama to camp so these plays are pretty meaningless. So like everything with the Rockets, it's just a wait and see with Harden. If you can't trade him then your best bet is to put Harden in as many pick and rolls with Wood as possible, and use Wall in the same way you used CP3 staggering minutes with Harden.
Well, Im just saying more so that....do you really want Ben Maclemore doing all the stuff on the court haha?
You really don't get Harden do you? If anyone needs someone to depend on and trust it is Harden just like all megastars of the past several decades. Harden strikes me as a guy who is skeptical of people until they earn his trust but even then it is probably tough for him to truly let his guard down. So what if Silas is 16 years older than Harden. He is older and wiser and has probably seen it all as well as John Lucas. There is a reason why Harden was pulling for Lucas so much and why he is asking for a trade to Philly (Morey) or the Nets (MDA). You go on and think of Harden as a mentally tough individually but I'm not buying that.
For Cousins to say that about coming off the bench, especially behind Woods who hasn't really started full time yet in the league, that's big time right there. Anti Carmelo.
You are just going thru the pangs of training camp bliss. Wait until you get hit upside the head with the reality of the regular season. You will miss Harden soon enough.
This is why I wanted Silas as a coach. Whether or not it'll work is another question. Whether or not we stay healthy is an even bigger question. Also nice to see Boogie taking on a leadership role. I want to see some nice passing, cutting, and scoring.
Nope. Which is why he ended up on the Rockets to begin with for the vet min. Even without Harden, his career is best served sitting on the wings drilling threes, and playing good defense on the other end. Try to do more than that, and you'll end up in China playing on the Shanghai Sharks.
