Tucker is far from done, that's crazy talk. You do realize that he not only provides the best defense on the team but he also calls the defense and gets the other players in the right positions. That type of leadership role is invaluable.

1 year extension if Harden signs an extension with the caveat that he can be traded next offseason no questions if it doesn't work. 2 year extension if Harden signs an extension caveat free. no extension without a Harden extension. It just doesn't make sense for anyone.
I think Silas is making a mistake not having Weaver on defense. Not giving them specific titles is one thing but not setting up your coaches to be successful is another thing entirely. Just because Silas is comfortable and knowledgeable coaching both units does not mean his coaches have similar aptitude.

This can happen when you have multiple playmakers on the court at all times. When has Harden ever had more than 1 playmaker on the court with him? Or even one and not a half a playmaker? CP3 is the only + playmaker he has had in Houston.
Those intangibles are great, but they aren't showing up on the court quite like they once were. Perhaps the solution is to make him a bench player so that he doesn't get tired, either way, you don't want to be paying him starter money for several more years given that he won't be a starter quality player for much longer....IF he's still that now.
Yeah. I know that Silas is a lot more defensive oriented than people realize, he is far more a disciple of Steve Clifford than he is Rick Carlisle. Maybe Silas is going to run the defense? Weaver has a background in both offense and defense, but he is more accomplished on the defensive side of the ball. It is just speculation but perhaps Weaver asked to be on the offensive side. Weaver is trying really hard to be an NBA head coach. Either way, I think that we will see both Silas and Weaver deeply involved on the defensive side if there are any real problems.
I have always said I prefer PJ coming off the bench. But Nwaba is 2nd best defender on team and is coming off Achilles injury. I expect he will be load managed. 1 year extension, minimum, is the smart play.

Why the hell is all of this Father figure rigarmaroll being posted today? He is about 15 years older than Harden. Since when does he need a father figure and why does anybody think MDA was one?
Have a feeling that if Harden is traded, and expectations for this season crater, Silas will win COY by getting this group to a top 4 seed.
my how things have changed so quickly The two players who have been the most vocal and showing the most influence, are 2 guys who were literally just acquired in the last 2 weeks. They haven't even had enough times to unpack their bags and they're the ones repping the rockets the most atm
