Lol everything he ever wanted?? So harden asked for luxury tax savings for 3 straight years? He asked for no center to throw a lob to? Our ownership dodging the Tax is the reason he wants out. Sure we get him stars but our role players have been trash. Dudes off the street and castaways have been our best players.

You never know what's going to happen. If Harden truly wants to win a ring and he shows up to play, then the Rockets do have a chance to keep him if they can convince him they are building a contender. I'll say this - they have managed to do a lot better than I expected.

I feel like that play style was born out of necessity. First because of how dominant gsw was. They had an amazing defensive squad that thrived on loose balls. Combine that with having a dominant best offense in history with multiple off ball actions it left only one plausible solution to beat them. Slow the pace way down, isolate with out best offensive guy on their worst defender, limit offensive movement on our part to keep up with switch d on the bests offensive team in history. Like people who study the game should realize iso was the only way to beat 4 future HOf with 2 guys likely in top 25 depending how you feel about curry. People who trash our play style didn’t pay attention
I’d still like them to trade him. I don’t think his value will get any higher. Time to cash in on all those ISO’s.
This whole melee has been frustrating for fans with so much and so little information out there coming from mysterious sources that are sometimes contradictory and don’t necessarily support the narrative or are non linear and illogical at times. How things deteriorated so fast is just mind boggling to me. And why Morey left in the first place is also a mystery. I think Morey left because he knew the Rockets didn’t have the cap flexibility and this will be the beginning of the end after he leaves and he is well aware of the domino effect he created of Westbrook and harden leaving as well. It’s possible the stars colluded and talked and decided it’s best to part ways and try to seek a ring elsewhere. Players are sentimental sometimes and no doubt Morey and MDA had a huge impact on his career and life as they maximized his talents thru the years. Naturally he wants to leave for Greener pastures. Something triggered the stars. I estimate either they wanted to move westbrook right after the season from the get go or because or of this Morey domino effect. Either way the guy wants out.
