Philly has to give up Simmons and Thybulle + picks at minimum. I'm fine with it. Boston has to give up Brown and Smart + picks at minimum I'm fine with it. James, you probably shouldn't open the restaurant if you're really leaving. I know you can't comprehend that we are in a pandemic but you're just setting yourself for failure. No one will eat anywhere with your name on it if you're planning on leaving before it even opens. James, you should probably hire a real agent. Your mom did a bad job managing your value.
If they trade Harden for Simmons, the Rockets will still be a playoff team. Not a title contender, but a playoff team.
I honestly don't even know anymore, there's so much stuff out there, until Harden speaks directly/shows up/actually gets traded etc. I am not saying he doesn't want to be traded, but at the same time the narrative is no different on teams we heard about before - they just added in the "other destinations" and made a new story - so I am not sure why this is even bothered to be reported other than to be recycled for more clicks
I don't know why the Nuggets would do this, but just in case. Harden, EG for Jamal, MPJ, Gary Harris - add picks either way to make it work
The Phila thing is really simple, if they trade Simmons it can be done, otherwise they literally have no assets, the picks and Thybulle are ok fillers, Tobias is one of if not the worst contract in the league so, yeah.
I mean the league in general believes you need two genuine superstars to win a title and for the Nuggets having Jokic and Harden would make them one of the top 3 title favorites. But they are giving up a young core that could be really good for a decade.
I could see that, there are possibilities out there where the Rockets won't go into a full rebuild and that's one of them. Either way, free agents would be impressed how the Rockets dealt with an infantile moron and managed to salvage their team more so than crying tears for the diva that screwed the team then demanded to be traded. One way or the other, Harden's opinion simply does not matter, it was listening to him that got the Rockets into the situation they are in right now to begin with.
Simmons, Thybulle, 2023 1st, 2027 1st, swaps in 2024 and 2026. Absolutely no protections on any of the picks or swaps. The 2023 pick gives you a chance at an internal collapse from the 76ers and Harden forcing his way out. Then trade Tucker for a 1st. Wall Gordon Thybulle / House Simmons Wood / Cousins
**** Harden. The Rockets owe him nothing. If anything, he owes the Rockets. The org has bent over backwards trying to accommodate his entitled, lazy ass. The roster has been turned over multiple times for him and him alone, losing tons of picks in the process. Oh, and the org has also paid him hundreds of millions of dollars. Being a champion is hard, @Jharden13, you whiny teenage b****. What really sucks is that while players are watching how the Rockets are treating their players, NBA teams are watching Harden's behavior, driving down his value hurting himself and the org that gave him a shot at being the guy.
