If this were true, Morey would have gotten out earlier. James Harden turned down that contract extension AFTER Morey(or at least thats what was reported) decided to step down. Morey had a lot of years left on his contract. Morey wanted Mike to stay. Im having a hard time believing Morey could not find a deal for Harden.

My thing is that it was only reported that Harden wanted out until AFTER Morey stepped down. Because Brooklyn was surprised with this trade offer. It came out of nowhere for them.

This is the thing that a lot of people don’t want to realize. He signed off on every single one of these moves, and others. Now the team is in the position it is in and he wants to leave? Him, Morey, D’Antoni, and to a lesser extent Tillman because he just got here basically, are all responsible.

I love James Harden as everybody, but if he insists on leaving, I would tell him first off no and second if we do trade him let’s say next year I’m doing what’s best for my team and not cater to his demands again on the way out.

The league should actually step in and fine Harden.

This writer has it completely backwards. The Rockets, nor any team is obliged to make an unfair deal in a situation like this.

Harden can sit, or he can be a professional.

right I understand I just don’t think a gm like Morey who went years being able to construct rosters how he wanted and doing trades with what he saw fit like suddenly being vetoed on a deal by owner especially but even his star player.

we don’t know, at least I don’t and again you guys know better than me but what’s done is done I guess and it’s a moot point in regards to dealing harden now and or getting the best deal possible

But how many deals that were signed off on and were then pulled is the better question.

Or the deals that were never made due to cost cutting decisions.

If you do not have the proper resources to do your job, the job becomes less pleasant and the production quality is negatively impacted.

No one made those kind of demands when Kawhi sat out entire season even though Spurs medically cleared him to play.

Sure he can, especially now. We aren’t winning with him. Limited fans can come as is, and he likely won’t have to pay him.

Wow. TF is in full spin mode now.

Everyone knows he is Trump like when it comes to micromanagement and now he has his very well known mouthpieces in McMahon and Feigan doing there best Kayleigh Mcenany impression in doling out misinformation.

Interestingly if James Harden sat out the season in despute.............his contract doesn't change, he would still have 2 years to go on it(not counting the player option year)

Its despicable that Stone and Tilly are nowhere to be found while letting Silas take all the bullets from media and fans.

That never happened on Morey's watch.

He would want to be paid if he was injured. It’s a contract let him set without pay. It would do the league some good. The players have way to much power, IMO

Damn, I wish I had a friend like Harden.

I'd be lucky just to get a glass of grape drink from my friends.
