Im going to get dragged for this: But I think Tilman being a bad owner is overblown. I AGREE HE IS TRASH, but how much toxicity can one man inject into a culture in a few years? Harden was this franchise before Tilman. Morey and MDA let Harden do anything he wanted already.

What exactly is Tilman doing except being broke and dumb? He isnt throwing Houston legends out of the arena like Dolan

Anthony Davis requested to be traded, and it was confirmed by the Pelicans. He didn't say he was committed to the Pelicans while doing the opposite.

Excellent post. Many of the fans crapping all over Harden remind me of the folks who get incensed at their neighbors staying on unemployment a month too long as their first vacation in years while they worship the billionaires who insure they themselves are low paid, with no benefits or vacation

That Chris Lavert trade is starting to look really nice.

Westbrook has been trash the last 3 playoff series he has played and I don't think Harden has ever played a series as remotely bad as Westbrook has the last three.

Harden has had bad stretches in particular playoff series. I can think of the very off Spurs end of series and the end of the Clippers series. He bounced back in a major way after the Clippers series. The Spurs series, the Rockets were eliminated.

We can go back and forth but it doesn't really change anything.

Russ last three playoff series have been awful . He has never got out of first round without KD or Harden. I mean he faced the Utah Jazz for crying out loud and he got bounced. let’s not pretend he has been some miracle performer in the playoffs. that also doesn’t excuse harden for coming up short in some big games.

They have nothing to do with each other

No, it never will, no matter what happens. I would prefer the Rockets just force Harden to sit out 2 years rather than accept that deal.

Lillard is closer to a Paul George than he is to Harden, and nobody gives a fck if Paul George retires ringless because he’s not in that class of player who needs a ring for validation

if Harden doesn’t win a ring, it will be an absolute failure for his career like it was for somebody like Barkley

Agreed, but it would be the best thing for the league.

She is proud of him being a great businessman. Yes, opening a restaurant in a city where you are literally screwing them over is BRILLIANT.

Except broke and dumb? Those are the reasons we are in this mess buddy. Look at the roster moves and cost cutting measures that resulted in the current mess.He stopped a few trades that Morey had setup to push into contender status because he didn’t want to pay tax in 018-109 season.More was virtually handicapped to make any real moves to improve the team . You think bringing in James ennis and Michael carter Williams were Morey moves?

Just say my Harden Hates overrides my commonsense at this point? Only besides being cheap and dumb? Are you ****ing kidding me?

Except for that time he quit in the middle of a game and let the team play 4 on 5 because he was upset. And then when he was about to be traded (he was on the front page of ESPN.com that day) he went ahead and scheduled microfracture surgery on his knee that he self-diagnosed. Yeah, good old T-Mac...giving his all.

    The North remembers

The beauty of all this, Harden is giving me a lot of time to process my feelings and I'm coming around to the idea of trading him so we can close this chapter. I love James Harden and will always appreciate the good times, but if he is ready to move on, then so be it, lets do it. I've gone through several phases in this process, but this hold out has given me time to reflect and realize that it does appear to be over. I rather cash in at the highest value, rather than wait another year and he gets a year older, has a player option in his contract that he threatens to exercise and leaves this organizations with not as good of a haul.

At the end of the day, we are stuck with Tilman, so we might as well cash out our most valuable asset and pray that we can build something despite shitty ownership.

I need some monster trade ideas from @D-rock.
