Harden's mother: "He is doing the best for his career...He is asking for a chance to get a ring”

imagine wokring your ass off to win a title , setting everything up so you have the best chance possible... then your window that you planned for is slammed shut and your new owner is a primary cause . Furthermore , when asked about it your owner blames it on a lack of "killer instinct" and says that the team will now take after him and his personality and become more lethal ... when the guy has no experience in professional sports.

He blows out his ass about wanting to pay the LT to give the team that maginal upgrade it needs , then in reality we make moves at the deadline 2 years in a get under the tax.... all while you have 2 top 10 players fighting their ass off for a title.

Any credibility MDA and morey built as trying to win goes out the window. Harden and Russ ( cp3 when he was here ) are viewed as the main culprits. Very few people in the media will bash owners , you really have to have a decade of suckage ... its easy to bash players and coaches. Tilman didnt exactly stand up for his guys.

I think it starts at the top with ownership ... and we had some bad breaks too.

Man this drama makes me miss T-Mac.... At least he gave it his all for the Rockets while he was a Rocket... Harden coming off super immature.

We dont know what Harden has said about being committed to Houston recently. He rarely says anything with cameras rolling. The only thing we have heard him say definitively to a camera is Mchale didn't teach him anything, Giannis has no skill, and people vote for MVP off of narrative.

Anything tweeted I have no faith in now to be honest.

It’s no secret the culture under tilman has changed. A franchise player who was loyal to no end now wants out, Russ called out Tillman via the media, mike left, morey left and the list goes on

Sure. Now, has Harden ever had a bad playoff series? Be honest now...

Giannis has no skill is true and McHale was a garbage coach. So what you are trying to pull here?

Harden publically said hes “comfortable with his career” and “it’ll end in Houston”

If Lillard stays, great for Portland. But nothing these athletes say matters. They don’t care about the fans lmao, nor should they I guess.

The whole only a ring gives someone a worthwhile legacy borders on stupidity, but if repeated enough becomes common sense. To claim Wilt had no legacy because he did not win a ring. To claim that Curry is better than Harden because he got a couple of rings because he was on a stacked team. Of course Harden can get a ring. All he has to do is in two years go to whoever the most stacked team is. He can chase rings like KD or Lebron. He can hang with the Rockets or the Sixers or the Nets for a year and then force a trade to the Lakers, the Nuggets, the Warriors or wherever.

BTW there is still the possibility that Harden by lighting a fire under old cheapo Tillman might be doing Houston fans a service.

Tilman really needs to get with Harden in a room, admit he's ****ed up by being cheap and tell him he wants to start fresh and do what it takes to properly win.. Then hope that's enough to convince Harden to want to stay. Otherwise it's back to mediocrity we go.

Let’s not try to rewrite T-Mac’s story.

PG in Indy, Kawhi in SA, Butler in Minny, Kyrie in Cleveland and Boston, AD in Nola, and now Harden in Houston...so many guys leaving teams on a bad note

not even sure how much it really bothers them because they will just get embraced by the fans of their next team...the media so desperately wants Harden in BK it’s not even funny...wouldn’t be surprised if they started talking about him differently like they’ve done with a lot of other guys that left Houston

and tbh, even if we traded Harden for Simmons, I see no way in hell that Klutch would want him in Houston long-term, so they might try to pull some sh*t in the future

You mean coming across like he does on the court? Missed a shot/didn’t get a call throws his hands up and walks back on D. Someone else has the ball and just stands there. Yea I’d say it’s in line with his selfish behavior

Don’t be naive. Tilman doesn’t care about the team being good or not.

    it’s too late

u don’t go from this to being convinced to stay unless the team magically morphs into a contender

Yeah but even if you do hear from Harden can you trust it?

Based on how Harden has handled himself he appears to be a fairly low character person. If the story the media is running with is untrue, he could put it to bed in a heartbeat....so either he doesn't care that he's causing a circus or it's exactly what he wants and he's fine with having his teammates and his mother deal with the mess he's causing while sitting back and having a good time. Either way, he comes across as a sort of terrible person that cannot be trusted.

His playoffs have been better then Westbrook. Oh and you just tried to deflect Westbrook’s playoff failures by saying what about Harden argument? You are doing exactly what you were accusing the previous poster. Trying to trash Harden for Westbrook’s bad playoff run.
