I think a lot of that is due to usage. PJ was guarding the opponents biggest player and banging in the post. That takes a toll on your body especially at his age and weight and height difference. The minutes MDA was playing him I believe were to much as well. He needs to be playing 28-32 minutes a game and his legs won’t be so shot at the end.

PJ hits his threes at a 43% clip in the postseason. He’s just not a scorer, and he shouldn’t be playing 35 minutes a night. I put that on the limitations of the roster which make his weaknesses more glaring. Every team would love to have PJ on the roster.

Again. How many times did we watch him air ball, or pass up shots, or hit the side of the backboard? I don’t give a damn about stat averages, the dude was worthless and we all complained about it. Months later we suddenly forget and rely on box scores? Nah. I remember.

Harden is tanking his already unfavorable favorability amongst nba fans. Missing training camp while reports are coming out that’s he’s partying is a very bad look.

I hope this isn’t effecting his trade value, but you have to imagine it is.
Rockets really ****ed up, should have traded Harden before any reports came out of him or WB wanting a trade to get full value for him, should have kept WB and sold high on him after a season with him as the man.

We are a poorly ran organization, and in short time we will be a poor basketball team on court as well.

If harden cared what casual fans thought about him, he would have bused out of the league years ago. Harden knows he is rich and one of the best players to play the game, he could care less that he doesnt have a babyface like steph curry that many fans like

He did his job on defense. He hit his corner threes. That’s all that was asked of him, and he did it. Airball? He didn’t airball that often. House airballed more than him. Hit the side of the backboard? Lol, as if that happened more than like twice all year. Who is we? Ashleyem and a few others isn’t “we”

I brought up his percentages because u were trying to paint this false narrative that he wasn’t hitting his shots. How are u airballing and bricking all over the place, but still shoot 43% from 3? That’s not relying on a boxscore, that’s simply using facts.

He shot 37+% against both the Lakers and OKC in the playoffs this year. He shot 48% from deep in the series against GS the year prior. What percentage do you expect him to shoot?

Stop looking at percentages and watch the games. Y’all act like this wasn’t mainstream opinion on boards during every playoff appearance.

Uhh it absolutely happened more than twice “all year” if happened twice in MULTIPLE GAMES. Even Tucker himself was visibly pissed at his shooting. How quickly y’all forget just cuZ the man showed up to camp. : /

And it got worse in the bubble after he rebounded from a poor start for the year. We all made excuses for him daily “he has no legs from guarding centers.”

We did watch the games. Why should we trust your eye test when it tells u PJ doesn’t hit shots and is airballing all over the place (rarely happened) or hitting the side of backboard (pretty much never happened) when he’s shooting 43% from 3 for his HOU career in the playoffs, a percentage that was brought down by the 37% he shot this year?

your eye test needs help, or you’re watching games in 240p

I watched the games and have a different opinion of his game than you. Also, I can count how many he made and missed. I'm not sure if you can.

I’m not sure if you have ever played basketball before and this isn’t a slight at you but having “no legs” is definitely a thing when you get tired out. That’s why shots come up short the majority of the time.

    A) I literally have never worked out more than 15 days in my total life outside of a basketball court or soccer field. I’ve played more basketball than you have, I can almost guarantee that.

    b) I wasn’t saying it wasn’t a legitimate reason for having tired legs, I was pointing out how it was a frequent point on these boards. Why would it be a frequently made point if PJ was shooting so well? Because he wasn’t, and he stopped shooting entirely for a while because his shot was so busted.

so basically PJ had a few slumps, something that happens to every player

How are u airballing, frequently hitting the side of backboard, and just missing in general, but shoot 36% from 3 in the regular season and 37% from 3 in the playoffs this year? How do u shoot 43% from 3 for your postseason career with Houston?

How is that an excuse? It’s facts. Or are we now gonna act like being a full-time small ball C for 35 minutes a night wouldn’t affect your legs and your shooting?

I don’t doubt it didn’t affect his legs. I’m on record as being fully against small ball from the get go. But it works because he began taking far less shots for games at a time. If you were to rewatch the season you’d remember. Broadcasters mentioned it in almost every playoff game. Box scores and percentages don’t tell the full story.

This should be the Rockets' hashtag for this season

Wall, Cousins, Wood, the young guys.. I think this season should be fun at the very least, Harden or no.
