I like it! But dolan of the south sounds better. Poor man's Dolan! Poor man's Dolan! Poor man's DOLAN! Cheap King of the rockets, Broke owner of laundry's, over-extended loud mouth of the south.
let’s be real, this Harden situation is very Knicks-like matter of fact, this whole summer would make the Knicks very proud if I told u the coach left disgruntled, the GM left disgruntled, 1 player wasn’t gonna show up to training camp and got traded, another has yet to show up, and asked which organization this was going on in, the answer most times would the Knicks.
https://bleacherreport.com/articles...s to Isiah, the Knicks, waste of a roster spot. Salary (not adjusted for inflation) Stephon Marbury (5 Years, $90 Million) Jerome James (5 Years, $30 Million) Eddy Curry (6 Years, $60 Million) Allan Houston (6 Years, $100 Million)
what Clutch is missing about the comparison analogy isn't the years and years of rebuild part of it, but instead the simple comparison of Tilman = Dolan. In that sense the Rockets have very quickly become the Knicks of the South.
@Os Trigonum @Reeko Nobody is talking about trading with the Knicks It is because the Rockets will never be the Knicks
The Knicks are run like a business - goal is to make profits not win championships. So in that vein, the comparison is definitely applicable to Tilman.
With a cheapass owner, we will keep reshuffling our roster with cheap contracts in hope those player will overperform while we "compete for the ring", but this time harden won't be around to carry our ass. So tinman is correct we will never b the Knicks, but we can b similar in a few years. Mediocre team who will make it into playoffs once in a while but really have no chance of actually winning it all. It is what it is until tilman action proves otherwise. One spend money carelessly, team is still trash. One doesn't spend money and it becomes trash.
