I agree with all of these points. First, Harden's teammates have the right to be annoyed and upset they are having to answer endless questions about Harden. They can confront him on that when he shows up, but I doubt they really do because he is a super star and they play by a completely different set of rules. Second, I agree with @Clutch , this Rockets team needs some luck, but the upside to this team is extremely high.
Man, what a difference a day makes. A little bit ago, John Wall was saying that James and him spoke and he wants to play with him. Now James doesn’t want to play with any Rockets and wants to pop bottles.
EG had age on his side. PJ, well it's a risk. I love PJ, would love for him to retire a Rocket, but at this point, it looks like he needs to be moved while he still holds value. Last thing we want is for PJ to go out on the court and look his age.
we would have to hope Philly gets off to a disappointing start and looks very far from contention which I think they are, but teams are always optimistic to start the year Philly would be pretty damn good too Harden Green Harris PJ Embiid Hou-Philly are just natural trade partners unlike Hou-BK, but we’ll see what happens
What a bad time that was. I remember dudes were just running layup drills all over our ass for the first couple weeks.
I'd rather let him sit on the bench for a year than take that awful Brooklyn package now. Spencer will leave next summer, Caris is a fine starter but not an all-star, Allen will get paid next summer and the draft capital is nothing. Boston offers up Brown. 76ers offer up Simmons. Brooklyn would need to find a way to get MPJ from Denver using picks and Dinwiddie. MPJ + LeVert + Allen + Prince + picks is a fair package.
Yep, hybrid defense is nothing new or something Rockets have not already tried with minimum success. And the hybrid D did not work for MONTHS, wish it was only for weeks. But personnel is different at least, Cousins is more accustomed to drop coverage than Clint was.
agree that age is the main factor...just trying to look at it from PJ’s POV MDA, Morey, Harden, and PJ all gone within just a couple of months...damn, crazy to think we got to this point so quickly
PJ has played great in the playoffs. Do you expect him to drop 20 a game or something? He plays defense and hits his threes. He's way outplayed his contract.
the BK package is a non-starter...that’s an offer I would only think about taking if the only other option was losing Harden for absolutely nothing, and even then, I’d weigh rather just having the cap space to take on bad contracts with possible premium assets attached would be better Harden to BK for that package would mean immediate slaps for the whole front office and would cement Stone as a joke not even a year into his tenure as GM
I’m talking about those broke ass three pointers airballing, hitting the side of the backboard, and all kinds of other crazy ****. Don’t forget.
No I expect him to hit threes or at least the rim. Y’all quickly forget how bad he became on offense.
