PJ's displeasure over his contract situation has been well-known. He's entering the final year of his contract at ~8M, and he's probably played himself into a 10-12M/year multi-year deal with signing bonus. The Rockets are wise not to extend him, especially as the team is looking at possibly entering a rebuild quite soon, as well as a new coach and system in which he might not hold the same value. I'm frankly surprised he hasn't been traded yet and still expect him to get traded at some point soon.
Yep trade him to another contender with a 3 to 4 year window that can or will offer him an extension and get some assets/picks and young players back

really disappointing, doesn't sound like he is fully committed even if he does stay this season. surely with key new teammates you would want to hit the ground running as early as possible to build that chemistry and learn the game plan ...maybe it is some passive aggressive protest against the tilman, but not looking like someone who is making a serious championship run with houston this season.
Honestly I could care less if he missed half the practices. Wouldn't matter to me if he even load managed. My issue is he knows there is drama surrounding if he wants to be a Rocket. I just want him to let us know if he is willing to be dedicated to this team even if doesn't get traded. If he does that he can go back to partying tomorrow for all I care.
