According to John Wall, James Harden “for sure” wants to be in Houston

Again. I said my gut is this isn’t ending well, I hope I’m wrong but in the past with similar reports about disgruntled players for our team they turned out to be true.

Perhaps you should get a grip. Silas said he was to be here Sunday earlier in the week. Now it’s he has to clear protocol but “will be doing an individual workout later”.
A) do you think a new head coach would just come out and say “harden is not communicating at all with us”
B) an individual workout. I did an individual workout today in my family room

Stop getting so defensive and stop acting like it’s crystal clear he’s with the team

Didn’t ignore. I’m still playing catch up. That’s good to hear I guess, but still very hesitant to read too much into it. This unknown is so frustrating. I really don’t want to start getting hyped for this squad being healthy with Harden and then it falling apart before it getting started.

Just the fact Harden will be at camp getting the Covid clearance is a cause for optimism. If it was reported he will refuse to attend the camp then it was a red flag.

 

Silas handling of Harden has not been sharp, even if no communication with your star, you just do not out him to media when you are still building trust.

Oh wow that's certainly positive news for the Rockets. So Harden is already back in Houston and contacted/communicated with the team? You should post a new thread with the news. That should calm the forum somewhat.

I’ll talke his word for now.

 

The right answer is not throwing the franchise player under the bus.

There will be another franchise player, this will be remembered.

And it will matter.

 

Nobody knows anything.
All that’s clear is he isn’t allowed around the team because of Covid protocol and will be doing individual workouts.
It could mean all is well and he’s ready to join once he’s cleared, or it could mean he has no interest in reporting and individual workout is no more than him training as he always does and being in Houston where he still lives.

 

I dont know why people are expecting anything concrete at this point...

if the team starts the season well - Harden will ride it out...
if we look like disorganized crap - he will reiterate his desire to leave...
