James Harden is not locked in. He might be okay spending a season here, but this is not the 2018 Harden anymore who was only concerned about winning a title. He knows that we aren't winning a title this year, so why put in so much effort?

 

If he lacks the character to try to win when he has a chance to, then he will never win a championship. You don't get to his level by not being locked in.

The man has a passion for the game. He cares about his reputation. You have to expect he will put forth the effort so long as the Rockets are competitive.

 

I don’t think he’s the type of player to not want to win every time he steps on the floor. But being unhappy can just naturally affect his game.

 

I’m really not sure what to think. I do agree it is very very odd. But should we be surprised something odd like this happens to the team?

Maybe Wall said what he thought he should say? Maybe thinking I’ll stick up for James but not actually having an idea of how to. Again, nothing I’m saying is based on anything, just speaking my gut.

What do you mean “at training”? If he’s quarantining then he’s away from others no? If he’s in Houston he lives in Houston.

What info tells you he’s reported to the team?

Get a grip you are losing the plot. It is reported they are doing individual workouts and will be with the team once they get the clear. Not sure how that equates them getting traded or wanting out?

 

You're ignoring the rest of what he said though. If that was the entirety of the quote I'd agree with you, but you're leaving out the part about how he spoke to Harden about the trade, how Harden wanted him to come here, that they want to play together, and he's "100%" that Harden will be here this season.

So was bruce bowen for the Spurs and so forth. I love me some PJ Tucker and I hope they give him a contract. Maybe not as huge but something! He will still be great coming off the bench. The rockets can not afford to piss Harden off right now or we will get scraps in a trade! That's all there is to it. Get to work Stone!

Guess he decided to use his superstar status to artificially extend his vacation. lol He's on cruise control. He's done this many times before, training camp that is... One thing I can say he has never let outside activities affect his play even during season. Also with a shortened off season and over speculative media. It's not hard to see why Harden doesn't want to participate in the circus. Staying or not. Worst case scenario he doesn't show up at all. Likely scenario he and Rockets have a understanding that he runs the offense, he'll give it one more year to at least see what they can do also to give BKN time to get the assets needed. I believe Rockets really want to do him a solid by sending him to BKN but they can't eat this loss after all they've given up for him. They NEED that kings ransom. Let the bidding begin.

 

I’m sure there are. I’m not one of them. I clearly stated a few times within a few posts I have no idea what’s going on but have seen nothing close to an assurance from either side.
