James Harden in Vegas night before training camp starts

I love Harden but this isn’t a good look. The partying is meaningless but not during a pandemic the night before you’re supposed to be at training camp. This could be interesting.

 

I just don't understand.

I don't think Harden is an idiot. He knows exactly what he is doing. He skipped VOLUNTARY individual workouts (Nov 24-30). He skipped MANDATORY individual workouts (Dec 1-5). And on the eve of the MANDATORY team workouts, he breaks covid protocol by going partying in Las Vegas.

This is very obviously a form of protest. And it will only get uglier if the Rockets trot him out to play games. It will be bad --- like Vince Carter in Toronto bad.

 

LOL. Rockets better keep some baby sitters on Wall, House and harden this season. One of the penalities is loss of draft picks!

Imagine if they actually took multiple first round draft picks away for repeatedly hitting the strip clubs lol.

 

Whether he shows up or sits out, it's irresponsible AF of him to be euro stepping across the country partying with hundreds of people who are equally dumb and likely to get covid.

To me it reads like he wants to be moved, and is forcing the teams hand.

Little does he realize that Tilman is ready to get uncomfortable with it. Or, rather, Tilman is rejoicing every day Harden doesn't show because he saves like $200k per day (is that right?).

I still wouldn't trade him to Brooklyn for their junk options. Make them convert their rubbish into a better player/ picks and then we can talk.

Pretty sure he had it already less than a year ago. Not sure how it works but the risk of him getting it again is probably lower than you getting it for the first time.

 

So basically if a player doesn't like the team he is on he can just sabotage them by getting them docked a draft pick? Sweet, let the games begin!

 

Who snitched him out? Unless he was breaking some law I don’t care if he likes to party before reporting for duty. Especially if he won’t be allowed to during the season.

I disagree in the sense that it’s almost entirely Covid related. This isn’t an ordinary job and Harden is one of the hardest working players in the game. This would mean nothing in a normal year.

But.... there is Covid, so I agree this is really indefensible. He’s either acting like a dumbass or he’s doubling down on the trade me narrative. Not sure which one I prefer.
