just adding my endorsement. Mindhunter is good tv. Spoiler second season covers the Atlanta killings. controversial subject decently covered from an entertainment perspective.[\spoiler]
Selena. 1/ 10 . I just can't get past the casting. I watched 20 minutes of the first episode and had enough. I once saw a trailer for the Colombian version of "Breaking Bad" and it was all kinds of cringe. That's how this Selena feels.
Started up Netflix's To the Lake. A Russia web-series... just saw the first episode and I am intrigued enough to stay with it. Acting is OK, with the expected "group of people thrown together to face an unknown deadly virus." Best characters so far are the autistic guy and the troubled teen age girl.
Just finished that People vs OJ show that was on FX a few years back. Very good. I recommend it if anyone hasn't seen it yet. Overall, very well acted. But I didn't love Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian or even Cuba as OJ. Otherwise, A+ all around.
i binged it a while back and thought it was intriguing. Too bad it was cancelled especially with the way it ended.
I don't ever want him to leave but Deshaun was not only robbed of a game-winning drive, but also credited with a false interception.
A comedy series on Amazon Prime called "The Goes Wrong Show", from the folks that did the play "The Play That Goes Wrong". Same sort of comedy, very Monty Pythonish, if you like Monty Python, you may love this show. A series of silly 30 minute episodes in the form plays, and put on by an even sillier play group and director. Lots of sight gags. I saw the original play at the TUTS with my daughter over a year ago and we laughed constantly. The TV series is not quite as funny, but still a great escape. Here's a brief clip from one of the episodes. You miss the set up... the Director explains they had a problem with the set converting to metric, and so they made do...
btw, since I mentioned the original play "The Play That Went Wrong", here is a clip from the Royal Variety performance...
I just finished the 4th season of big mouth.... absolutely loved the first 3 seasons but this was completely meh. Makes me respect what South Park has been able to do for so long even more.
That's on HBOMax, I assume? I'm trying to figure out, since I don't need streaming at all times, which one(s) to get for a few months, then cancel, then get another...etc... I'd love Hulu just to rewatch Fargo 1&2 and Justified, and I'm sure something else. eta: dude...we need to make a constantly updated list of what good **** is on what
Of course it is. Its an HBO original series and HBO dont give up ****. If you just google any show, google shows you where to watch what on the results sidebar.
Sure, but that just presupposes that I will know the name of the show I would want to watch if I remembered, or even knew, the name of the show that I wanted to watch. There are many streaming shows that slip through the cracks, it's too much. Not all of us keep up with these things constantly.
Discovery has gotten better from the first season. Still the Michael Burnam show (she's like one of the 3-4 genuinely interesting characters) but sending them into the far future has been interesting.
