He IS in shape. If you want to criticize him, complain that he asked for a trade or that he didn’t try to keep Westbrook or Paul. Criticizing his effort or preparation is just stupid.
First, I don’t even know where COVID came into this. If he was caught without a mask in a social gathering, he should be treated like the league would any other player... be that nothing, a fine or forced quarantine. As far as him apparently not wearing a mask, it is disappointing.
Huh? James Harden is very involved in philanthropy. I don’t really see him as weird or awkward either but whatwver
There's a documentary in various incarnations that credibly covers that aspect of the showtime Lakers. It literally is how Johnson positively got the HIV.
Early 30's, rich as hell and still works/studies harder than most of his peers. But he parties, so let's internet.
If you don't want Harden on the Rockets because he parties... I'm not even going to argue, you need to stop being a fan of the team because you aren't one. You literally want to see this team tank to fish for a top draft pick when the chances of winning a chip with one of those is also extremely low.
Aren't you the one talking about freedom? That is a granted right that you dont just get because you were born.
I agree people have moved on, but people need to calm the **** down, there's no way they can make enough vaccines fast enough with the current infection/death rate, and they're not a cure either. Lots of things are still at stake. I imagine jobs are going to come into question soon if another shutdown comes, no stimulus bill has been passed, and the economy is only okay because of the stimulus bills right now.
Your problem is assuming because people criticize him, we want him gone. No one said they want Harden to leave. People tell me I'm the most aggressive at criticizing Harden and even I didn't want any of the trade packages for Harden that have been thrown around. I would rather him try to run it back here again.
That's like saying stop watching the NBA because the Lakers, Celtics and this past decade the Warriors are amassing most of the titles anyway. Every other team still wakes up and still goes to work. Still scouts and still draft college players. The Rockets will survive Harden, that's a foregone conclusion. Folks might not like this. Life goes on, we should stop being melodramatic about it. I was a Yao fanboy, it was hard but got over it.
The number of Harden haters on CF is alarming to me. All the man has done is give this city eight years of ridiculously entertaining, competitive, winning basketball as a perennial MVP candidate with dozens of memorable moments and accolades. What he does off the court is his business. Let him party if it helps him get his head right for basketball. Dude is worth hundreds of millions of dollars, and you guys expect him to just hang out at the house, go to church every Sunday and train nonstop in his spare time. Leave the man alone, and give him the benefit of the doubt. He's earned that. If the season starts and he's 40 pounds overweight and forgot how to shoot a basketball, you can criticize him. But that's very unlikely.
What do you define as "overweight"? Because if you think I mean he's overweight in terms of the general public, that's not what I mean. He's obviously more leaner then the vast majority of the public. He has more fat than the average NBA guard. That's my point and yes he's come into the a season overweight before like in 2016. He definitely also has put on some mass after he leaned out in 2018. 2018 was his best conditioning season. Wall also had some weight fluxuation issues earlier. These guys will never be actually "chubby" because of how active their lifestyle is but diet still can be a problem.
What a strange take. I didn't realize someone needed to get married in order for them to be less "weird" and "awkward" or that there'd be less criticism in their direction. As a matter of fact, how is he "weird" and "awkward?" Can you give some examples? It's not really breaking news that a professional athlete parties hard and spends lavishly. When the only "criticism" you can come up with for Harden off-court is that he throws his money around, then that's actually a positive. No baby mama drama, no legal troubles, no troubles with law enforcement. No drug charges, assault charges, murder charges, etc. Just a rich person doing rich person things that are both legal and within the scope of his means. Back to the married thing, though. The only way to shed yourself of criticism is to apparently get married? Why? Will that somehow make him less "weird" or "awkward" or make him spend less? Get off your soapbox. Is he a family man like Curry or LeBron or even Westbrook? No. And that's okay.
