You would be surprised by what is said on social media.

Not everyone remembers Dream, or were alive in his prime.

It's because Dream never had an instagram or twitter account.

Seriously. If someone asks that question, ask them if they're lost and need help finding their mom.

Saw the 94 and 95 title runs as a young young teenager and what a show it was. Easily the most agile center I have ever seen. Had it all

It’s Hakeem or Rudy T, obviously. Rudy T has to get a genuine consideration since he literally almost died as a player for them, won rings, and was passionate af.

Scary thing is Hakeem would be 2 times better if he played in this era.

The problem is, prime Hakeem ain't coming through those doors to play for the Rockets. So whenever Francis, McGrady, Yao, Howard, CP3, Westbrook or Harden 'mess up' and don't end up winning it all, the argument always goes in the direction of "...well, Hakeem could have won."

McGrady quitting? Hakeem wouldn't have done that.
Yao's body betraying him? CP3's hammy? Hakeem's conditioning wouldn't have allowed that to happen.
Howard playing like garbage on offense in the post? Hakeem was the best at that.
Harden can't do it despite having a solid roster around him? Hakeem would have won it all.

It's been established that Hakeem is the greatest Rockets player in the team's history. No one is debating that. But then again, no one even asked, so I don't get why people are bringing him up.

To allude to what @TMAC3 said, that's like mentioning Jordan when talking about how Patrick Williams will mesh with the Bulls' young core. And that someone saying if it was Jordan, "Jordan would fit in seamlessly."

Like, yeah sure, but no one asked or even brought up Jordan. So what's the point?

That's a lot of heat for a bit of nostalgia.

Thought the board needed some positive energy, remembering good times.

My applogies for offending you all.

You didn't offend anyone. I'm just saying, if we need to go back 25 years or so just to remember the happiest time of the franchise, that's pretty depressing. I get that you want to be positive, but thinking about the past doesn't make our current reality any better.

I really believe Hakeem had a better supporting cast than Harden, but Hakeem was also the best at putting the team on his back and taking us to the promised land.

Hakeem was the only superstar on the team in 93 and he definitely elevated the play of everyone else -- looking back the players around him are much better than we realized back in the 90s.
