    It’s a shame how much bad reporting I’ve seen regarding this trade. Pumping up Beal and Westbrook... ok.

    In the greatest move in nba history Rafael Stone trades Westbrook to Wizards for Wall to sabotage the Wizards and force a Beal trade. Then trades Wall and 5 first rounders for Beal.

    That pick along with the Portland picks can be packaged with Eric and Tucker or House by the deadline for a guy like Buddy Hield if the team is actually looking good. That could be the boost to propel them into a contender only if Cousins and wall stay healthy and obviously Harden stays.

    Anyone saying anything right now is all conjecture. Bottom line is this. If Wall is 90% the Wall of two years ago this is a hands down win for the Rockets.

    2021 swap is a tricky situation. Thunder can actually swap Heat and Clippers' first with ours, so it's either we tank hard and hope we're lucky to get top 4 (only 50% chance even if you rank dead last in the league), or we try to get the best record we can, because it's very likely that Heat or Clippers will have the top 5 record in the league and Thunder will swap that pick with ours.

    I think that's part of the reason why Rockets insist on getting back a player that we can re-build with for the Harden's trade. We may well lose a top 10 pick in a good draft year if the Harden trade situation is not handled properly.

    The Cp3 trade was a bad one, we never should have made the end, it tanked our franchise. We only have this year left with Harden before we are left with Tillman and his yes man Stone.

    I doubt Russ's stats go up. He is probably going to average something like 22 + 10 + 10, shooting 42% from the field. Is this really better than his stats last year? His ppg was the 3rd highest in his entire career, his FG% was highest in his entire career, Harden's gravity was so strong that there were so many open looks for WB. We'll see how much WB's FG% is going to drop without the space Harden created for him.

    This is undoubtedly true, but Russ bailed him out to a certain extent when Harden was running out of gas and when he was being doubled team in the regular season although Russ wasn’t good enough to take charge and prevent our anemic losses to GS and the Knicks.

    Playoff Russ helped us to drag ourselves past OKC, but he was a disaster against the Lakers, partly because of the quad injury and the post Covid condition.

    Nevertheless, there’s no doubt Russ showed low IQ in crunch time. I have mixed feelings about Russ, but I’m angry at him for demanding a trade so he can be “the man’’.
