Westbrook is a talented and athletic player who, if he's the center of the show, can rack up big numbers and carry a team in the regular season. His effect on actual winning basketball, which is all we should care about in the Harden era, is clearly limited. If your goal is to win 45 games, then he's great. If your goal is to win in the playoffs, he is useless.
lol ok buddy Stats only count when you decide they do. If they don’t line up with your beliefs then they are wrong. P.S. I know we had an extensive back and forth when we acquired Westbrook and early on in the season how everything showed this would be bad. You put on your rosy red glasses and tried to sell something special. Wrong. It was worse than even I expected. And there is no denying that.
DAVID NWABASG, HOUSTON ROCKETS David Nwaba (Achilles) said he thinks he'll be ready in time for the season. He said his Achilles "has come a long way" since his surgery 11 months ago and that he's in a good place mentally and physically. His role out of the gate will primarily be on the defensive end, but he's someone to watch if the Rockets end up trading James Harden. SOURCE: Cayleigh Griffin Dec 4, 2020, 11:00 AM ET
I'm not sure but most of the time Wilkins jumped off two legs which probably help take the stress off the injury.
whats considered the dominant foot? The push off I guess? So if you like to go right your dominant would be left?
cousins first year back with warriors was interesting. He played 11 min less than with pelicans and while his avg was down his per 36 min was about 22 and 11. Not bad.
Yeah boogie can adjust his game as a big man and he can still drive on people. His per 36 min was actually not too far off from his career avg. I’m worried about wall though.
This is literally the same thing people say about Harden...just that he wins more regular season games.
Again, these stats would show Harden > Hakeem. Bro, if stats were the end all be all that you make them out to be scouts would never go and watch players play or watch film of players. Why? Just pull up the spreadsheets, all you need to know, right? No context necessary.
If by huge risk meaning the odds of this trad working out are about the same as winning a daily pick 4, I'd say you're right on. Is it me, or are we trying to build the all achilles team?
Hakeem played in a statistically different era of NBA basketball. A big man who lived in the paint, no matter how dominant is not going to matchup favorably statistics wise with a current era 3 ball heavy ultra efficient guard. It’s a whole different world. Hakeem dominated an ancient style of basketball and the stats would pretty much show that when compared to his peers of the time. Westbrook is not that.... Breaking news despite what the stats say Westbrook was actually the finals MVP as Houston swept its way to their 3rd title in franchise history. Hooray!
It just worked out that way. Nwaba was someone the Nets didn't want to release but couldn't keep on the roster so Morey grabbed him in a trade. Cousins wanted to play with Harden......... and Wall was the only player with any upside that we could trade Westbrook for. FWIW I don't even think the Rockets are concerned about Wall's Achilles.... Cousins played very well with GS coming back from his Achilles injury.... and Nwaba had a full rupture but has been practicing a long time. There is certainly a risk for sure........ I actually think Wall would still be good with a little less athleticism. Cousins is the biggest risk because of his size.
So, we're saying that stats are not end all be all and context should be considered then? Bro, your stats say Westbrook maeks a team worse but even you admit he's going to make the Wizards a better team. Again, can you tell me why scouts watch film of players and go to their games?
Maybe there's some new technique but given the history of players recovering from achilles tears and its not been good, how are the Rockets not overly concerned? Is it that they just don't have any choice and might as well roll the dice?
Bro the stats said he made the team he played on worse. Houston is a really good team led by Harden, he made US worse. Washington is a shitstain franchise. He can make them better.
It was, but lets be honest about WB's soft tissue injury (quad) and the karmic balance of moving CP3 because he was "injury prone".
spot on. stats are only convenient to stans if it goes along with their agenda. signs of being the dumbest follower. you literally give them facts. they just turn around and make up dumb posts and excuses to go around them. cf's being increasingly infested with these losers has been the worse
