here's one of the many classic ones. you can start with this westbrick stan https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/july-2019-do-you-like-the-cp3-for-westbrook-trade.300249/
I agree. I hated the deal for him from day one, but I think his value would have been higher a little bit into this season. It's not like there was this mad rush of teams trying to trade for the shell of John Wall and his contract that we had to beat to the punch
His playoff numbers were garbage against Portland too his last season in OKC, but I guess u got an excuse for that too huh? much better Harden making decisions than bonehead, brickfest Russ...pretty simple 34% usage rate and almost 23 shots a game to produce a 106 offensive rating...lol Harden’s offensive rating couldn’t get that low even if he tried, but yes, give the ball to Russ more so he can toss up his midranger and throw wild passes
Westbrook almost always shot his teams out of the playoffs, we took advantage of that many times before we got stuck with him.
Like I said.... I was wrong. I thought Harden would collaborate better with CP3 than WB. I thought Harden would help his buddy out like he did in OKC. The blueprint were there..... WB played a stretch PNR system with a nonshooting big. Alas the will wasnt.....
Why is everyone applauding the wizards? Well yea no **** because john wall is ass lol. Anyone with a brain knows that. Little mans stuck in a wheel chair
only his stans and Russ himself it’s crazy to me that u can lead the team in shot attempts and have the 6th highest usage rate in the league, but still be complaining about your role...it’s insane to me What more did this dude want? Short of making him the face of the franchise or creating a game plan centered around him getting a triple double, what more could’ve been done? not wanting to report to training camp is something I will never respect
Westbrook has pretty much always been better than Wall. He’s definitely better than a player with an equally ugly contract that hasn’t played in two years. We deserved a 2021 lottery protected pick. But Stone’s got no balls
Win Shares per 48 Regular Season : .098 (bad) Playoffs : -.043 (one of/if not the worst playoff runs a max player has ever subjected the world to) Net ratings all suffered with him on the floor. Net ratings all spiked when he was off the floor. Still fooling people with his ability to inefficiently squander a giant amount of possessions into inflated box score stats. Because damnit he plays with passion and intensity.
Yes he was. ________________________________ 1) High USG% because he can’t shoot the ball for distance & hates being a spot up shooter......again because he stinks at it allows his defender to sag off into the paint. Clogging up things in the paint. 2) Either too lazy to work with shooting coach or has and still stinks at shooting 3’s. 3) Stinks at mid range shot. Some of the ugliest bricks I have seen. 4) Poor FT shooting. Judgement still out on Wall.....but I’m hoping for a watered down version of Westbrook that demands less USG% with greater catch and shoot ability. This translate to better for the Rockets as a whole.
Anyone still defending Westbrook is someone that is blinded by flash and raw inefficient numbers and their opinion about basketball should be flat out ignored. I'm not going to blame them for their laughable ignorance, it's just that we shouldn't give it all that much attention.
They sure were. on the decline for years "When things got bad against the Blazers, Westbrook couldn’t contain himself. He started taking three pointers he can’t make, and jumpers the defense goaded him into. This season was the worst shooting season of his career, and as great as Lillard and the Blazers were, so much of this series was lost because the Thunder’s most visible star couldn’t stop himself from taking those bad shots. Westbrook’s numbers in the series were awful. Out of five games, one outing was excellent, when he willed the Thunder to a victory in Game 3, and one was excusable, when he recorded a 24-point triple-double in Game 1. The others: a field goal percentage of 25 percent in Game 2, 23.8 percent in Game 4, and 35.5 percent in Game 5. His three-point percentage was even uglier, and yet he took more threes as the games went on. More than anything, this series put his glaring weaknesses in full view. It’s tough for any team to be a true playoffs contender with a point guard who can’t really shoot, and it’s almost impossible with a point guard who can’t shoot and refuses to stop. In Game 4 he took 20 shots, and just three of them came in the paint, the area where he’s most effective. In Game 5, he took 11 more shots than George, including three more three-pointers, and was unsurprisingly the least efficient among all of the Thunder’s starters." Russell Westbrook in Playoffs post Durant - .486 TS% through 22 games For those unaware, a .486 TS% is TERRIBLE. For reference, the League average TS% in the 2019-20 regular season was .563.
Nope. They haven't been good since Durant left..... when he had another true offensive superstar next time who could shoot while he could be the creator..... Weird huh?
he shot 16-52 in the final 2 playoff games against Portland including 11-31 when Dame waived him off the court, but hey, he did get a triple double in that game OKC was ranked 17th, 10th, and 17th in offensive rating Westbrook’s last 3 years there...give Harden those same exact rosters and they would’ve been top 5 at absolute worst that is why giving the ball to Russ more when he’s on the same team as Harden is asinine...that would help him secure his triple double average, but that is not making the team better
remember when rubio and a rookie spida took him out of the playoffs. and even westbrick saying "imma lock that shitt up" LOL good times
lmao I swear these people are stupid. They really cant put 2 and 2 together. Westbrook is awful... but you traded him for john wall who is even worse and you wonder why people are saying you got ****ed in the trade?
