Does anyone actually know a person that believes this or is this a small group of nimrods and a salacious headline about a couple of idiots ODing on fear p*rn?
This, and the woman that thinks "all Chinese people look alike" are the best expert witnesses trump and crazy rudy could present to testify in front of a government body. Think about that...
trump was right... there was voter fraud... but unfortunately for trump and the republicans, it was republicans doing so...
At yesterday's MI hearing one of the arguments put forward that fraud happened and that we need voter ID was that "all Chinese look alike." https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...hearing-Michigan-says-Chinese-look-alike.html
I don't know what legal consequences there are for someone submitting to a court a signed affidavit that isn't factually supported but it might be time to address that. Listening to some of the crazy stories being put out by some of these witnesses (who aren't testifying under oath) but are claiming things like that they went from MI to Chicago to fraudulently count votes and saying their affidavit supports that.
Correct. So far I think American intuitions (government bodies, the court system) have bent over backwards and been incredibly patient with the increasingly insane trump claims. But at this point, all trump and his inept legal team have done is cast down more and more embarrassment on themselves and the the institutions with no end in sight. If the expectation was "if we listen to and consider their claims then trump's supporters will have confidence in the outcome"... well, that will never happen, no matter how far over backwards the institutions bend. We are at the point where the courts and government bodies simply say *enough!* and tell trump to pound sand and get on with the real work that needs to be worked on (COVID-19 response, employment, restoring proper governance, addressing claims of legal inequity).
I'm saying it might be time to do more than say "enough: and tell them to pound sand. There might need to be legal consequences. This whole thing has been a waste of state and judicial resources. If Trump supporters are willing to fund this that is one thing but states and courts still need to spend time and money addressing these. And beyond wasted time and money is the erosion of support in our system while leading to threats and intimidation of election officials. Like with frivolous lawsuits or perjury there needs to be consequences or else we will see this happen again and again in many elections. I understand that there is a possibility of fraud and we need people willing to speak out when it is actually there but standards have to be applied. We can't have anyone just claim anything as long as they are willing to put their name on it. There needs to be a standard of proof that are backed up.
Well, we had the woman that said "all Chinese people look alike" and the other drunk woman that kept interrupting MI congressmen with her insane babble... here's another of trump/rudy's expert witnesses...
....we all already know how much all Negroes look alike. ...awful lot of it's-not-about-race race arguments in all this, isn't there?
I get it, but dealing with the idiots, crazies, and lowlifes is pretty much what most of the everyday judicial system is about.
Most people will forget this, but....at the end of the day (month, election day not a day) this election wasn't really that close.
It is like the Chiefs kept scoring after the whistle had blown against the Texans...in that playoff game. LOL.
