Basically. Wall at his best isn't used as a spot up shooter.

With CP3 it worked because he's a knock down shooter. Wall and Russ are...they are what they are.

the only hope I thought we had was Silas changing things up, playing more traditional, giving Russ more PNRs, maybe the team does well, his value goes up, a team desperate for a big move makes a desperate trade for him. If not, his contract becomes more valuable as time goes on.

The scenario where Westbrook doesn't report doesn't exist in my mind, looks like he was heading to camp. When is the last time we've seen an NBA player actually hold out and not play because of issues? It's a thing that rarely, if ever, happens. Russ wasn't about to miss game checks. He was going to show up and play hard because that's who he is.

I know with all the trash Westbrook has received last season, the Wizards better suck. I mean suck, top 10 lotto team suck and Wall better be playing in the Finals because I heard a lot of noise about if we had CP3 we would have done this or that. I always believed our window shut the moment we lost to the Warriors, at home, with a hurt Durant. At that moment our window closed.

Championship teams are too stacked to win with a star and a half. Some of these teams have multiple MVP caliber players on their team lol.

LOOOOOOL, that's your argument, they are a good defensive team so strategy or scheme they use doesn't matter. Stats dont matter. Only my dumb tall ball matters....sheesh. Alright Im done this is terrible.

All you westbrick stans that are still hanging on for dear life. I'll bet anyone on here that wall has better contributing stats this season than westbrick did as a rocket

He'll shoot a better % from 3, less turnovers, better defensive/offensive rating, better defensive win share, better net rating, win shares, VORP, BPM, etc

I'll gladly have these tipjar bets to benefit @Clutch

Lets see who with all the crying and running of their mouths actually wants to back up what they're trying to preach

the only hope I have is its a Piston's situation.

A bunch of guys that play at fringe all-star level to create a championship contender...but we need EVERY thing to go right. Cousins/Wall have to be able to get like 70% of their prime form, Wood has to break out, and House/EGO need to be solid and we need some one else to breakout like Clemons, Brazillian Durant, whatever.

We need a lot to go right to dream of contending with Denver or the LA teams.

we had no versatility. we Had to play one way. when the lakers adjusted there was nothing we could do. nothing worked. doubling bron or AD and rondo and Morris killed us. single covering and bron would go right down to the block and score. you are blinded by hate if you think WB is why we lost, and not the greatness of the lakers top end talent and ability to win in different ways.

Doubling only works because your spacing is terrible dude. Doubling only works because there is no release valve for a 4v3. That is what Im trying to tell you. Doubling also works when Mike doesnt make simple adjustments(he probably phoned that one in). And Westbrook was also terrible at defense too.

you don't know basketball or a have a very simplistic view at best.

steph curry has been doubled effectively. when the the cavs beat them. dame had shooters all around and was doubled and they blazers couldn't do ****. when you have long athletic players like bron and AD who is probably the best in the league at covering lots of ground you absolutely can double. why didn't the heat or nuggets beat them with all their shooters ?

    answer that question.

Yep. Its like some Rockets posters have created this alternative reality Rockets team where Harden did everything he was capable of doing.

    This.

LOLOLOLOLOL. I also think WB has been declining but he doesn't suck or has declined as much as you WISH he has. You don't even take into account adjusting to a new team with a ball dominant guard or his injury. Ty Lawson sucked.

You are so butt hurt about WB, he occupies your anal cavity.

Post the numbers. How do you take into account changing teams and injuries?

The Westbrook kids are about as delusional as the Lin kids were, hopefully they won't linger around for quite as long.

Looking beyond raw numbers Westbrook was objectively trash last season, but his fans fall for the flash so they think he was playing at a "near all-star level", it makes absolutely no sense, but what can you do?

    No THAT"S YOU.

No he wasnt? What are you talking about? He was also playing injured during those playoffs as well. Dame is also not as good as Harden, smaller and a lot of their corner threes were kicked out to Melo who proceeded to brick from 3. And no, the Blazers did not play 5 out offense. NO YOU CANT. Only when you have liabilities on the floor shooting wise can you double like they did. Melo,Rivers, Westbrook, Portland also had bigs out there who could not shoot with further killed their spacing.

What? Because they have people who can guard Jokic. And Mimai runs a motion offense so its harder to double Butler. But also....a lot of times they just put AD on Jimmy and Jimmy got shut down. NO ONE on their squad could guard Harden.....sheeesh man.

The rockets will finish better than the 44-28 record they had this season. I'll easily do that. Same 72 games for the upcoming season.

    How much?
