I wouldn't want my players, teams to be affiliated or publicly representing violent criminal organizations, but that's just me YMMV.
That makes me pumped to be getting him. I'm guessing the Rockets believe this injury is behind him with that kind of post.
John Wall's last year on his contract is a player option at 46 million dollars. I wonder if he's waiving that as part of the trade?
It's funny how here the opinion is split but on Bullets forever, the Wizards SB nation site, they almost unanimously hate they trade. That's a good sign for us. The only ones who dislike this for the Rockets are the casual panderers on ESPN.
not necessarily true. depending on how he looks for the next year or two, he could absolutely opt out in that last year, for the security of a longer term contract. he's young enough to be in that position. but yeah it just depends on his situation when it reaches that point. everyone laughed at hayward opting out. Look at him now when he cashed in for years down the road.
I'm responding to the question if John Wall waived his player option to make the trade official. I believe the answer is no. He certainly can opt out and look for money elsewhere like you are suggesting, but it would not make any financial sense for him to waive his player option and convert it to a team option. There is absolutely zero incentive for him to do that, unless he was that damn desperate to leave Washington to entice the Rockets to trade for him, which I don't believe he was.
they are same player, Wall just has less impact. that's why its hilarious to see you guys big up Wall and bash WB. it doesbt make any sense. yall are idiots man
His agent is Rich Paul. Not a chance in hell he's sacrificing a penny. Making more with state income tax in fact. We finally got an agent with some real pull in the NBA. Treat John Wall well Patrick.
Wall may be only slightly better than Westbrook, but he just fits better because he can actually shoot in certain situations and play off ball if needed. Westbrook can't, and has no interest in it. Wall isn't great, but Westbrook is complete garbage.
he isn't better at all, but let's say you are right. what is "slightly better" supposed to do for us? does slightly better beat the lakers and clippers? you call him garbage yet he's a first ballot HOF. meanwhile if Wall was in the west he never would have made a single all star team
Slightly better makes the team better and gives the team a chance to compete. Westbrook was a net negative because he is embarrassingly bad at the team game of basketball.
Wall is when healthy a better playmaker and can actually run a team. Westbrook just couldn’t! Let’s not get that twisted. I actually want to see finally Harden off the ball. Another season of a PG on the court with Harden being useless I just refuse to watch. Move Wall to the bench with Cousins then.
