I see your logic and I agree with your counter. I will say that asking a Rocket fan to have faith on the ability of a few superstars to come back from injuries it's hard. I also see it as a signal that Harden won't be here for long.
I can't wait for the season to start. Seeing all these new faces is gonna be fun. 1. New GM Stoner 2. Silas 3. Boogie 4. Wood 5. Wall 6. Sterling Brown 7. Mason Jones 8. Nwaba 9. A Bruno who might actually be developed in Houston with Morey gone 10. The youth we signed Intriguing times my friend, intriguing.
OKC had no Idea Tilman hated CP3's contract so much. PG13 had just been traded from OKC. It feels like everyone was on the same playing field.
Yes they did. That idiot said multiple times he regretted that deal and how CP3 had a terrible contract.
https://clutchpoints.com/rockets-ru...-contract-to-other-staffers-rival-executives/ Tillman is an idiot. He has no filter and he's like Trump and that's why he voted for him. Of course he said this crap.
When he was averaging over 30 ppg and shooting over 50%, after Capela got traded. And I am the contrarian? https://www.nba.com/stats/articles/russell-westbrook-and-the-small-ball-rockets/ https://www.sportingnews.com/au/nba...in-a-terrifying-way/g2v0y26l28zd1u19zatfz265d https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id...mergence-changed-houston-rockets-james-harden https://www.theringer.com/nba/2020/7/29/21345565/nba-contenders-houston-rockets-harden-westbrook So I guess this was fake news right? So we were not trying to get Butler for 2 years? Is reality suspended in the Garm?
That's half a season? Yes you are the contrarian. If you have all that articles praising WB why did you say "No One. Wanted. WB."? According to you he was having the season of his life so why nobody wanted him?
This has happened to me in the past. I'm actually thankful things turned out the way they did. I gave up picks and won a championship. I was really lucky, just like I hope the Rockets get really lucky.
Never disputed Tilman being an idiot. Good point about OKC having more leverage than Morey. I still feel like Morey is smarter than giving up so many picks. But that's on me.
Wait what? Are you not the guy saying half a season would build up his trade value? Da****? Please show me where I said nobody wanted WB.
I just remember the press conference after Westbrook trade and they interviewed Morey. How he mentioned this was the riskiest move he's ever made. It's was basically the only way he could spin it to positive. That man looked defeated then he tweeted about HK. I really thought he was trying to get fired.
NBA teams can see a clear line of decline and numerous playoff meltdowns since 2018. To act like Westbrook is in any way comparable to Butler, or Leonard is just wrong. Not now. Again, Westbrook is not merely coming off one poor performance. Westbrook was going to be a problem since he wanted out. If the Rockets have any chance to retain Harden, they had to move Westbrook.
My bad, it was another poster I was replying to when you replied to my post so I thought you were him. Yes, half a season of good play would build up his trade value cuz we know his original market value was 5 FRPs (what Houston paid for him). That's healthy, former MVP WB. He had arhtroscopic surgery in the offseason, and while he had a couple months of good performance the league got shut down and when people saw him again he got Covid and tore his quad. People won't look at the couple of months he was healthy and playing great they would look at his overall performance and it was bad, that's why his value went from 5 FRP to 1 FRP. At the very least, him playing healthy and being great would've been worth more than 1 FRP IMO.
And this is why I think he wasn't trying his best when he was trading CP3. There was no effort to make the best trade possible. I know Tilman demanded Morey get Russ, but Morey's heart wasn't in it and it was a disaster. That's all I'm saying. People acting like Im being ridiculous when I say that.
