Tillman has been quoted many times as saying that his basketball operations were getting cold feed on the trade and he told them we are doing this. The trade is not on Morey. In fact its probably the number 1 reason he quit and if you still blame Morey I don't know what to tell you.
there is no way in hell James believes Wall and cousins are his chance at ring. he is definitely being traded.
So you know that tracking stat I posted about Lowe from 2017-18? Guess who was also one of highest in standing still that year? Chris Paul. That worked out reasonably well.
It seems to me that Tilman and Patrick are calling the shots, with half an eye on rebuilding. Playing an injured Wall and Nwaba will drive James out of town. @ApacheWarrior
They were getting cold feet because they didn't want to trade CP3. And it was a bad trade. Operations constructed that trade not Tilman.
Great. So we are all on the same page. It was a bad trade, no ****ing question about it. Our disagreement is about the stain on Morey's record. I just don't agree with you. If it was demanded by ownership to do the trade at that moment, then Morey had no power negotiating. Is not as if Westbrook's value was that low, he was coming off another triple double season and OKC may have had options. I don't know. Regardless, Morey is a patient guy and I'm sure if his boss wasn't forcing his hand, he would of likely never made the trade in the first place, or waited until the asking price came down, but that obviously doesn't matter to you, so agree to disagree.
I don't know what Harden thinks. According to Woj, he preferred Wall over Westbrook. Maybe he saw something in Miami that gave him confidence that Wall can be healthy and he can help him compete for championship this season. Maybe he will tell us during his media interview, although I doubt it since he is an introvert and doesn't like speaking out on management type ****.
Well, I flat out disagree that WB is a better player than Wall. Maybe in a game of one on one, but there is zero doubt from me that Wall is 10x the facilitator that WB will ever be, and he's a better fit for this team. All Wall needs to do is run the offense for Harden occasionally, knock down an open 3, and play a little defense. That's it. If Wall can average 18 and 9 as a second option, shoot 35% from 3, maintain his career A/T ratio (2.42), and play some defense (career DBPM is .1), the trade will be a win. It'll be an even big win when the Rockets trade House and/or Gordon and picks for a wing defender or true C.
Before the trade I felt Harden would sign extension here in Dec.....the way he was recruiting players. Let’s see if he signs the extension. Says a lot about the situation. Westbrook indicating he won’t play forced the issue imo. Wish the Rockets took earlier offers... probably had better options on the table instead of trading one team’s problem for another team’s problem.
"John Wall injury prone", "Boogie Cousins injury prone", Durant is injury prone, Kyrie Irving is injury prone, AD is injury prone, Embid is injury prone and Russel Westbrook is injury prone. Keep buying into the medias narrative if you like. Rockets Franchise is in good shape currently and is set up pretty well for the future with or with out Harden. https://bleacherreport.com/articles...red-duo-with-john-wall-over-russell-westbrook CF troll population is at a all time high i see!
Tilman Because We have all seen Morey work before and this will go down as the most un Morey-like move he has ever done.
